The Carcross desert located near Carcross in Yukon, Canada is the world's smallest desert.
It is technically a series of sand dunes, spanning about 1 square Mile.
Technically, some scientists say it is not a " true " desert because the rainfall is very high.
Its a sub Arctic environment receiving significant precipitation making it much wetter than typical hot deserts.
It is actually a sandy bottom of a drained glacier lake from last ice age !!!
