Difference between truth and lie
Once Akbar asked a question in the court. It is to explain the difference between truth and lie in 4 or less words. Everyone were silent. Including Birbal. Akbar was surprised by this. Akbar said to Birbal "I thought you will answer. But even you are silent".
By listening to this, Birbal replied he was silent so that others can answer. Akbar said no one is willing to answer. So now, Birbal must answer. Birbal said the difference between truth and lie is 4 fingers. Akbar was surprised by that.
Akbar asked Birbal to explain. Birbal replied "What you see from your eyes is truth. What you hear from the ears may not be always truth. In most cases, it is going to be false or a lie." Akbar agreed to this. But he didnt understood what Birbal meant by 4 fingers.
Akbar told his doubt near Birbal. Birbal said 4 fingers are the distance between eye and ear in face.
