Who is prettier ?

 This story I had read it few months back . I found it really inspiring .

God Vishnu had 2 wives . One is  ADRUSHTA LAKSHMI ( goddess of good luck ) and the other one is DURADRUSHTA LAKSHMI . 

One day , both of them started quaralling with each other arguing about whom their husband ( God Vishnu ) thinks is the prettiest one .

They could not arrive at a conclusion . They thought they will ask their husband directly to know the truth .

Likewise both of them went near their husband and asked him to decide who is the prettiest between the two .

Now God Vishnu is in  a fix He don't want to hurt the feeling of either of them . He thought for a second .

Then he gave the most diplomatic answer . His answer is ------

He turned towards DURADRUSHTA LAKSHMI and said " I find you prettier when you are leaving the place ".

He turned towards ADRUSHTA LAKSHMI and said " I find you prettier when you are coming in to the place " .

Both of them were satisfied with the answer .

ಬ್ಯಾಡಗಿ ಮೆಣಸಿನಕಾಯಿ ತುಂಡು ತುಂಡಾಗಿ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದು 3

ಹಸಿ ಶುಂಠಿ 1/2 ಇಂಚು

ರುಚಿಗೆ ತಕ್ಕಷ್ಟು ಉಪ್ಪು

ಮಾಡುವ ವಿಧಾನ

ಮೇಲೆ ತಿಳಿಸಿದ ಎಲ್ಲ ಸಾಮಗ್ರಿಗಳನ್ನು ಮಿಕ್ಸಿ ಜಾರಿಗೆ ಹಾಕಿ ನಂತರ ಬೇಕಾದಷ್ಟು ನೀರು ಸೇರಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ನುಣ್ಣಗೆ ರುಬ್ಬಿಕೊಳ್ಳಿ. ಈಗ ಚಟ್ನಿ ರೆಡಿ . ಇದಕ್ಕೆ ಒಗ್ಗರಣೆ ಕೊಡುವ ಅಗತ್ಯವಿಲ್ಲ .

ದೀಪಾವಳಿ ಹಬ್ಬದ ಕವನ

 ಬಂದಿದೆ ದೀಪಗಳ  ಹಬ್ಬ ದೀಪಾವಳಿ

ಆಚರಿಸಲು ಸಜ್ಜಾಗಿದೆ ಕರಾವಳಿ

ಹಚ್ಚಿಟ್ಟ ಹಣತೆ ಉರಿಯಲು ಬಿಡುತ್ತಿಲ್ಲ ಗಾಳಿ

ಈ ಸಲ ಕಂಡುಬರುತ್ತಿಲ್ಲ ಪಟಾಕಿಗಳ ಹಾವಳಿ

ತಂದಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಪೋಷಕರು ಹಬ್ಬಕ್ಕೆ ವಿಶೇಷ ಜವಳಿ

ಆದರೂ ರಾತ್ರಿ ಚಳಿಗೆ ಬೇಕೇ ಬೇಕು ಕಂಬಳಿ

How Akbar traced the missing Birbal

 King Akbar and Birbal had a quuarrel . Disturbed Birbal stormed out of the court room saying he will never ever return .

In the beginning  , Akbar didn't take it seriously thinking that Birbal will return when his temper gets cooled . But months passed , no sign of Birbal .

Now Akbar started worrying the Birbal . But how to search for him ? Akbar thought of a plan 

He declared that whoever answers his question correctly , he will be awarded 1000 gold coins .

The question was this, " A person must walk under the sun without umbrella , but at the same time he must be under the shade of something ."

Everyone who had heard the question said it is impossible to meet the condition . But one villager had come to the court . He had come to the court by walking under the scorching sun without umbrella but he was under the shade of a wired cot as he was carrying it over his head .

Akbar instantly came to know that only Birbal can think of such a solution . He interrogated the villager about who has helped him ? Villager said the truth that his neighbour had given the solution for the question . 

Akbar by now , was sure that the neighbour must be Birbal . He went to village by himself and reunited with his friend Birbal .

ಎಲೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಯಾವ ಎಲೆ ಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠ ?

 ಇದು ಶ್ರೀ ಕೃಷ್ಣ ಮಠದಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆದ ಉಪನ್ಯಾಸದಲ್ಲಿ ಕೇಳಿದ್ದು . ಬೇರೆ ಬೇರೆ ಎಲೆಗಳ ನಡುವೆ ತಮ್ಮಲ್ಲೇ ಯಾರು ಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠ ಎಂದು ವಾಗ್ವಾದ ನಡೆಯಿತು .

ಮೊದಲು ಬಾಳೆ ಎಲೆ ಮುಂದೆ ಬಂದು ಮಾತಾಡಿತು . ಅದು ತನ್ನ ಬಗ್ಗೆ     ಹೊಗಳಿ ಕ್ಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಾ ಅಂದಿತು " ನಾನೇ ಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠ . ಮನುಷ್ಯರು ಊಟ ಮಾಡಲು ನಾನು ಬೇಕೇ ಬೇಕು . "

ಇದನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿ ವೀ ಲ್ಯದ ಎಲೆಗೆ ಸಿಟ್ಟು ಬಂತು . ಅದು ಹೇಳಿತು " ನಿನ್ನದೇನು ಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠತೆ ? ಊಟ ಆದ  ಮೇಲೆ ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ತಿಪ್ಪೆಗೆ ಎಸೆಯುತ್ತಾರೆ . ಎಲೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ನಾನೇ ಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠ . ತಿಂದದ್ದು ಸರಿಯಾಗಿ ಜೀರ್ಣ ಆಗ ಲು ನಾನು ಬೇಕೇ ಬೇಕು . "

ಆಗ ಕರಿಬೇವಿನ ಎಲೆ ಹೇಳಿತು " ನಿನ್ನ ದೇನು ಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠತೆ ? ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ತಿಂದ ಮೇಲೆ ಎಲ್ಲರೂ ಬಾಯಿ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಕೆಂಪು ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡು ಎಲ್ಲೆಂದರಲ್ಲಿ ಉಗುಳುತ್ತಾ ಹೋಗುತ್ತಾರೆ . ನಾನೇ ಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠ. ಅಡಿಗೆಗೆ ಪರಿಮಳ ಬರುವುದು ನನ್ನಿಂದ . ನಾನು ಇಲ್ಲದೆ ಅಡಿಗೆ ರುಚಿ ಆಗುವುದಿಲ್ಲ . "

ಆಗ ಉಳಿದ ಎಲೆಗಳು ಕರಿಬೇವನ್ನು ಅಪಹಾಸ್ಯ ಮಾಡಿ ಹೇಳಿದವು " ನಿನ್ನ ದೇನೂ ಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠತೆ ಇಲ್ಲ . ಊಟ ಕ್ಕೆ ಪರಿಮಳ ಬರಬಹುದು . ಆದರೆ ಊಟ ದಲ್ಲಿ ನೀನು ಸಿಕ್ಕಿದ ಕೂಡಲೇ ಪಕ್ಕಕ್ಕೆ ಸರಿಸಿ ಇಡುತ್ತಾರೆ . "

ಆಗ ಅಷ್ಟು ಹೊತ್ತು ಸುಮ್ಮನೆ ಇದ್ದ ಒಂದು ಎಲೆ ಮಾತಾಡಿತು ." ನೀವೆಲ್ಲ ಅಹಂಕಾರದಲ್ಲಿ ನಾನೇ ಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠ ಎಂದು ವಾಗ್ವಾದ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಾ ಇದ್ದೀರಿ . ನಿಮ್ಮ ಬಾಳು ಕ್ಷಣಿಕ . ತಮ್ಮ ಕೆಲಸ ಕಾರ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾಡಲು ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಬಳಸುತ್ತಾರೆ . ಆಮೇಲೆ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಕಡೆ ತಿರುಗಿ ಯಾರೂ ನೋಡುವುದಿಲ್ಲ . ಆದರೆ ನಾನು ಹಾಗಲ್ಲ . ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಪವಿತ್ರ ಭಾವನೆ ಇಂದ ನೋಡುತ್ತಾರೆ . ದೇವರ ಕೋಣೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ನನಗೆ ವಿಶೇಷ ಸ್ಥಾನ ಇದೆ . ಆದರೆ ನಾನು ಮಾತ್ರ ಅಹಂಕಾರದಿಂದ ಮಾತಾಡುವುದಿಲ್ಲ . "

ಅದೇ ತುಳಸಿ ಎಲೆ .
