Relishing the old memory ......

  Yesterday I was watching the photos of my college days.

I came across one photo where I was looking at something and all of my friends, somewhere else. 

I recalled the incident. 

It was our send off day in college !!!

As it was the last day, every girl had worn a saree. Me too.

We all have gathered for the group photo session.

I wear spectacles. 

Without them, it is difficult for me to see the things a few meters away. 

We all stood for the group photo. 

One of my friends asked me to remove the specs and then to pose for the photo.

I thought it as a good suggestion. 

I removed my specs and folded and held them in my hand. 

Now my condition is very bad. 

I could not see where is the photographer !!!

Every thing was blur for me without specs.

I heard some one asking us to smile !!!!

I was busy in locating the source of sound. 

I didn't come to know when the photo was taken   !!!!

Finally what happened was,

Everyone was looking at the photographer. 

I was seen looking at some other direction  !!! 

Why Vidura didn't take part in the Mahabharata war ??

  Vidura is the great devotee of God Vishnu. Pleased by his devotion, God Vishnu himself has given him a bow called Govardhan.

This bow was so much special that it is said that it is superior to all the bows existed on earth.

Vidura is always known to take the side of good.

When Mahabharata war is going to happen, Krishna was coming to meet Kouravas. 

Duryodhan had made every arrangement to make Krishna happy so that he can be on their side. 

But Krishna had known the evil intension of Duryodhan before itself and he directly went to Vidura 's house.

This made Duryodhan angry. He came near Vidura and accused him of favouring Pandavas. 

When this was happening, Krishna was present there. Krishna thought it as the right time to make Vidura to move out of war. 

Krishna said to Duryodhan that Vidura could be the asset to any party as he has the special bow Govardhan. 

But Duryodhan continued his false accusations on Vidura. Vidura was fed up with all these and he, himself broke his bow. 

Now Vidura is no longer an asset to anyone. 

Thus Krishna made Vidura to retract from the battle ground. 

Shrinkflation

  Nowadays did you buy a packet of Parle-G biscuits ?

One normal pack of Parle-G biscuits come for just 5 rupees.

It would be enough to quench the hunger. 

Just a year back,  the biscuits were available in the bigger size compared to the present size. 

But price is 5 rupees itself but quantity is less.

This is called Shrinkflation.

Shrinkflation is the process of reducing the size or quantity of the product while price of the product remains same.

Shrinkflation is widely used in food industry. 

Shrinkflation is not a fraud or illegal activity. 

It has become a common tactics to help producers to deal with their own inflation problems from suppliers. 

What is wrong with Surya ???

  Yesterday was the final one day International cricket match between India and Australia.

It was the series decider match.

Australia after winning the toss, batted first and set up the target of 270 runs for India. 

This match really made my heart beat to go weak  !!!

India were in the tight situation because they needed to score 66 runs from 60 balls !!!!

Hardik Pandya and Jadeja were playing.

As both of them are big hitters, target seemed achievable.

But as soon as Hardik and Jadeja got out, hopes got faded. 

But India was giving fight and Australian fielders did a good job by making Indian batsmen to struggle to score runs. 

India lost to Australia by 21 runs. 

What is wrong with Surya  ???

Surya was supposed to come in 4th position to bat. But he was demoted to 6th position.

In the first 2 matches he was out for a duck.

This shock treatment needed to be done.

If Surya could bat yesterday, India would have won the match. 

Kids are always kids !!!!

  This incident happened when my nephew Aniruddha was just 3 year old.

As a small kid, he loved to watch Hindi movie songs on TV and used to dance in front of TV  !!!

One day song of actress Alia Bhat was being played on TV. 

As usual,  Aniruddha was dancing to the beats. 

I pointed out at Alia Bhat and said, 

She is Alia Bhat.

I am Pallavi Bhat. 

We both are cousins !!!

Aniruddha stopped dancing and came near me,  looked at my face and asked, 

Are you serious  ??? 

I said yes.... 

He instantly believed me !!! 

But now he knows that there is no connection between us !!!!
