Talkativeness , injurious to health .
Long time ago, a passerby found a skull on the road. As he was watching it closely, skull talked to him ! It said it can answer to any of his questions.
Passerby could not believe it , a talking skull ! Anyhow , he wanted to check what the skull is saying . He asked it to narrate the story of Ramayan .
Skull narrated the whole story of Ramayan, with appropriate shlokas in between ! Passerby now convinced
that skull must be of a scholar
He could not control his anxiety to tell others. But skull warned him against doing that. It warned him that he may face the same condition like that of skull .
But passerby didnt listen. What could happen ? He will show the talking skull to everyone and he would be world famous !
Soon he returned to his village and told about talking skull to fellow villagers. The news spread and reached to royal palace too.
King called the passerby . Passerby repeated the same story . King asked him to show the talking skull and let him to examine it.
Passerby agreed and went to same place where he had found the skull. Skull was still there. Passerby said the skull that King wants to see it himself.
Skull didnt say anything. Passerby carried the skull with him, to palace. After seeing the skull , King thought it looks like an ordinary skull.
King doubted that it will talk ! Passerby wanted to show the King , the knowledge of skull. He asked a question to skull. But it didnt answer.
Passerby repeated the question but skull was silent. He didnt lose hope. He asked an easy question. Still , skull was silent.
King got angry. He thought passerby is spreading a false story about skull in village and driving people nuts ! He ordered his soldiers to behead the passerby.
Passerby was prosecuted. Now there are 2 skulls. !
That time, old skull began talking to new one !
Old skull said " Even I had the same punishment of spreading wrong message. If I had kept quiet , I would not face this condition. Thats why I asked you not to tell anyone. But your talkativeness cost your life now ."
