Bell of devil
Long ago, there lived a thief. Once he planned to steal in nearby temple. But when he was about to steal, the people who were present there saw him and were alerted. Thief could not steal any precious things , hence he stole the bell hung there.
He was walking past the forest with the bell. Because of the friction he was producing when he was walking, bell was making sound. The sound was audible in the quiet forest. A tiger came out of its den to see what the sound is? It found the thief carrying the bell.
It liked the sound very much. It killed the thief and took away the bell from him. As the tiger was fascinated by the sound of bell, so are the monkeys living on top of the tree. They saw everything and they saw that tiger had taken away the bell.
When the tiger was asleep, one monkey came down from the tree and took away the bell. The monkeys liked the sound of the bell very much that they made it a practice of making and listening to the sound of the bell every night.
There was a village nearby the forest. People were afraid by hearing the sound of bell as it becomes dark. They thought it must be the work of devils. All were troubled but no one is dared to enter the forest. That time , a lady who was very brave thought of entering the forest.
People tried to discourage her but she was firm. One night as she heard the sound of bell , she walked in the direction of the sound. Soon she spotted the monkeys who were playing with the bell. She understood everything and she called the other villagers too .
All were shameful that they were superstitious about what had happened .
