 This question I recently come across in internet.

Question 

A farmer had 15 sheep, and all but 8 died.  How many are left ??

Answer 

People say "  English is a funny language  ".

Here is the proof of it.

When we read the above question for the first time, we tend to think that all the sheep have died.

So out of 15 sheep, only 8  sheep are dead.

Remaining  are  15   -    8   =    7   sheep.

But look at, all but 8 died.  

That means all sheep died except 8  sheep.

So remaining sheep number is 8  not 7  !!!!
