Why Cambodia and Thailand are fighting with each other ???

The recent conflict between Cambodia and Thailand is rooted in a long standing border dispute.

The dispute was primarily centered around ownership of Hindu temple.

Cambodia claims the temple sites based on 1907 map while Thailand contests the map's accuracy.

Both countries attach great cultural and historical value to temple sites. Now it has become a matter of national pride and sovereignty.

Clashes have intensified prompting both sides to reinforce troops and trade blame.

This caused civilian displacement and casualties.

A ceasefire was eventually brockered.

Despite the ceasefire arrangement,  tensions still remain.
