Most dangerous water bodies in the world

 Water bodies are serene and beautiful.


But some of them harbor hidden dangers underneath their surfaces. 



Such dangerous water bodies are  - - -


1.  Lake Kivu  ,  Democratic Republic of Congo

              This fresh water lake has highest 

concentration of dissolved gases.



2.  Drake passage ,   Antarctica

                   This is characterised by iceburgs,  massive waves and fierce winds.



3.  Riot Tinto ,  Spain 

                  This lake is extremely acidic and low in oxygen. 



4.   Boiling lake  ,   Dominica 

                   This lake is situated near volcano and molten lava would be getting added.  Swimming is strictly prohibited because of high temperature.



5.  Horses. Shoe lake , United States of America

                      This lake is surrounded by beautiful scenery but carbon dioxide gas emitting from the cracks in the ground make it dangerous for humans.



6.   Blue hole,  Egypt

                           Blue hole is a 400 ft deep cave which is infamous for nitrogen narcosis. It is the deadliest diving site in the world.



7.  Lake Natron ,  Tanzania

                            This lake is the most saltiest and alkaline lake on earth.



8.  Lake Michigan,  United States of America 

                            This lake is infamous for the unexplained plane crashes over its waters. 



9.  Jacob 's well, United States of America 

                             This is a crystal clear lake but very dangerous for the divers. 



10.  Great blue hole ,  Belize 

                                This lake is a massive submarine sinkhole.  It is deadly due to the powerful tides that can pull the objects down to its depths.
