How many Indian states are there ?

 Whatever I have written as the title is half complete.

The question was asked on Koun Banega Karodpati program.

Here is the complete question 

Question 

How many Indian states are there which don't have any coast line or share an international land border  ???

Answer 

This question requires a good  knowledge of Indian map.

Lets start from South India.

The South Indian states  wil not come into picture as they have costlines.

We are left with  Madhya Pradesh, Chattisgadh and jharkhand..

Bihar and West Bengal share international border.

In the west we have states sharing international border.

In the east also, states are sharing international border.

In the  north, we have only Haryana which neither have costlines nor international border.

Delhi is not a state.

In South India, we have forgotten about Telangana !!!!!

Telangana don't have coast or share international border.

Finally we are left with 

          Haryana 

         Madhya Pradesh 

          Chattisgadh 

          Jharkhand

          Telangana 

We have got 5 states which don't have coast line or share international land border.
