Why elephants are afraid of bees ??

 Elephants are the largest land animals. They are not even afraid of lion, king of the jungle.

These big creatures are afraid of small bees !!!

When they hear the buzz of a beehive , 

They flap their ears

Stirr up dust

Make noise.

But a bee sting can not penetrate the thick skin of the elephant.

When hundreds of bees sting in its most sensitive areas like trunk, mouth and ears, they get hurt.

That is why they are very scared of such a tiny creature  !!!!

Many farmers use this fear of bees of elephants as a potential fence line to protect their crops.

By putting beehives in in every 20 m, we can keep 80% of elephants away from the crops.
