 This is a brain teaser.

If        11   *    11   =  4

           

            22  * 22  = 16

Then

           33  *  33  = ?

Answer 

No need to take out the calculator  !!! 

What it seems is not it is.

Now take a look at first one. 

11   *   11  =  4

We can also write it as follows 

{  1  +  1 )  *  ( 1  +  1 )  =   4

2  *  2   =  4

----------------------------

22  *   22  =  16

=>   ( 2 + 2 )  *  (  2 + 2 )  =  16

=>  4   *    4   =   16

----------------------------

33   *  33  =  ?

=>  (  3 +  3 )  *  (  3 +  3 ) 

=>  6  *  6  =  36
