Which court in India has the longest jurisdiction   ?? 

1. Kolkata high court

2.   Chennai high court

3.  Bombay high court

4.  Guwahati high court 

Answer 

 

We will start by looking at the jurisdiction of all above mentioned high courts.

Kolkata high court has the jurisdiction of entire West Bengal state and the union territory of Andaman and Nicobar islands.

Chennai high court has the jurisdiction of entire Tamilnadu state and the union territory of Puducherry.

Mumbai high court has the jurisdiction of entire Maharashtra state and Goa.  Also the union territories of Dadra and Nagarhaveli and also Daman and Diu.

Guwahati high court has the jurisdiction over 7 north eastern states namely Assam ,  Arunachal Pradesh,  Meghalaya,  Mizoram,  Nagaland, Tripura and Manipur.

Hence the answer is    GUWAHATI HIGH COURT   !!!!
