The Amla (origin Sanskrit) is having different uses in daily life. Amla is widely used in Ayurvedic hair oils to promote the growth of hair.
Amla is also rich in vitamin - C. It is said that eating one raw Amla is equivalent to eating 4-5 oranges . Means eating one raw Amla supplies vitamin- C as 4-5 oranges supply.
Since it is rich in vitamin C, it is used as a medication for gum diseases. It is believed that it helps to control the flowing of blood in gums.
