Cats are solitary creatures.
They prefer to live alone and hunt alone rather than in a group.
Most of their social behaviour is restricted to mother - kitten interaction.
Outside this relationship, cats rarely meow at each other !!!!
As cats began to live alongside humans, their behaviour took new meaning.
When a cat meows at us, it's as if they see us as their caretakers, much like their feline mothers.
