Find the next term in the sequence 

1 , 2 ,  4 ,   7  ,  11 ,  ??

Answer 

To answer the above question, we need to find out the correct sequence.

1.  The difference of second and first number 

==>>   2  -  1   =   1

2.  The difference of third and second number 

==>>  4   -   2   =   2

3.  The difference between third and fourth number 

==>>  7   -    4   =   3

4.  The difference between fifth and fourth number 

==>>  11  -   7   =   4

Now we can say that difference between numbers given in series are getting increased by  1 .

Like  1 , 2, 3 , 4.......

According to pattern we got, next number should be 5.

That means,

Difference between sixth annd fifth number should be  5.

==>>   ??  -  11  =  5

==>>   ??  =  5  +   11

==>>  ??  =   16

So,  missing  number is                 16    !!!
