The city of Hundred Islands is in Rajasthan !!!
When we think of Rajasthan, we often think about deserts, forts and rugged terrain.
But in the southernmost part of Rajasthan, a different picture emerges, one of green hills, flowing water and tiny islands scattered across river lake.
This is BANSWARA !!!!
The city got its name from how the Mahi river's backwaters spread out.
When the water fills the river basin, it breaks up into many small islands that dot the landscape like green dots on water !!!
The pattern is especially striking in monsoon months.
