I was pretty sure that it is not United States of America  !!!

Barbados and Jamaica are too far that a person came from these countries to fight against Tipu Sultan   !!!

It was named after Arthur Wellesley   ,  First Duke of Wellington.

He was a young Brutish officer in India and fought in Fourth Anglo Mysore war against Tipu Sultan where Tipu Sultan died..

Later he became world famous for defeating Napoleon   !!!

The city of Wellington is named after him by British settlers which later became Capital of New Zealand  !!!
