What seperates US and Russia ??

This question was asked on Koun Banega Karodpati program.

 Question

Which of these seperates Russia from US ??

1.  Drake passage

2.  Ligurian sea

3.   Bering Strait

4.  Lake Volta

Answer

By hearing the question, I thought US is far west and Russia is far east.

How they could be near ??

Then I realised Earth is round .....

I was talking about US and Russia as  we see in world Atlas.

But in reality, both US and Russia are quite near   !!!

US and Russia are seperated by

          BERING STRAIT

Its a small sea channel between

       Alaska, USA on east side

      Chukotka, Russia  on west side.

Its only 82 km wide in its narrowest point  !!!

So, technically US and Russia are only 4km apart   !!!!

But there is a 21 hour time difference between them.
