Muddu Krishna competition

 Today is Shri Krishna janmashtami.

  

In my place, Krishna janmashtami is a big festival. 

Various competitions being held.  Out of these, muddu Krishna competition for children is my favourite.

In Udupi,  we can see the idol of Bala Krishna. Means Krishna at his very young age.

Even the competitions will be there for the children.  For women also, there are different competitions..

As I said muddu Krishna competition is for children.

Competition is being held for children of different age groups. 

I always watch the category of children of 1 to 3 years. 

At this age,  children just have started to walk independently.   They are full of innocence.

Though the competition named as muddu Krishna, it is not mandatory that contestant should be a boy.

Moreover, always girls outsmart boys here   !!!!

I am writing about 3 incidents where I could not control my laughter. 

1.   Mother is  bringing the child to the stage. 

       Child is dressed exactly like Bala Krishna, wearing crown and holding flute on the hand  !!!! 

           Mother made the child to sit at the centre of the stage and then left the stage 

          

            Krishna looked at everyone gathered  !!!! 

             Without wasting a second, Krishna followed his mother to side stage   !!!! 

2.   We all know that bala Krishna is fond of butter.. 

       To mimic that,  mothers bring vanilla ice cream in the pot. 

        This Krishna already is tasting the butter  !!!! 

         When Krishna came on stage, he was busy eating the butter and did not care for anyone. 

         Krishna was holding the pot full of butter.... His face is already decorated with butter !!!! 

         Krishna is licking the butter traces on his hand  !!!! 

3.  We all know that Krishna is fond of dancing. 

       This Krishna is also shaking his body to the sound of the drum  not to the audio being played  !!!!
