Countries with no airports

 Airports symbolise economic growth and social progress.

It also represents urban development. 

But few countries lack airports and they rely on other transport methods.

Such countries are  - - -

1.   Vatican city - - -      It is surrounded by Rome, Italy.  It lacks airport but well connected by train and bus.

2.  San Marino - - -    It is one of the oldest country of the world and surrounded by Italy.  Because of its small size, lacks airport.

3.   Monaco  - - -   It is surrounded by France.  Visitors must take the route by France as it lacks airport.

4.   Liechtenstein  - - -  It borders Germany and Austria.  Lacks airport and visitors must arrive by car or train or by boat from nearby German or Austrian stations.

5.  Andorra  - - -  Situated between France and Spain.  Lacks airport because of its mountainous terrain.
