Yawning is highly contagious ......!!!
The likelihood of yawning increases 6 fold , when we see or hear someone yawning .... !!!
WHY IT HAPPENS ??
There are several theories
1. It is a type of empathy. We are likely to catch a yawn from a friend or a family member than a stranger !!!
2. The " mirror neurons " trigger automatic imitation of someone's yawning.
3. If group of people in warm climate, they may yawn contagiously to stay cool.
We don't have to even see a yawn to catch one !!!
Simply reading about or thinking about yawning is enough to trigger the reflux ....!!!
