India has won the T20 cricket world cup

 Yesterday was the T20 World Cup final match between India and South Africa.

India batted first. 

Openers Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli had given a good start as they hit sixes in the first over itself  !!!!

Yansen was the South African fast bowler who got punished by Indian openers in his first over itself. 

I was surprised to see a spinner coming to bowl in the second over of the match

Keshav Maharaj had come to bowl and he was successful in the dismissal of Rohit Sharma and Rishabh Pant. 

Rishabh Pant was a golden duck.

Then came Surya who was out before shining.

Now India has lost first 3 important wickets. 

But Kohli was there and Axar Patel was promoted to bat. 

This duo were able to increase the run rate by building a good partnership. 

After scoring 47 runs, Axar got out.

The came Dube who had helped India to score good runs. 

But it was Virat Kohli who scored 76 runs to help India to post a competitive total of 176 runs.

I watched only this much. 

In the newspaper, I came to know that India won the match by a superb catch caught by Surya near the boundary line.

Thus,  after 17 years India has won the T20 cricket world cup.

Aniruddha said country Turkey has changed its name. 

This news is I was not aware of. 

Turkey 's changed name is   Turkiye .

Turkey government says that the name was changed to rectify the country's image and make it more attached to cultural roots.

But actual reason is different. 

Reason for change of name is that the association with the bird of same name. 

The bird Turkey is a large bird. People of western countries eat this bird on Christmas eve and new year eve.

When the word Turkey was googled, always the search results showed about this bird only and not about the country  !!!

Another objection was that one of the definition of the word 'turkey' was   " something that fails badly "  or  " a stupid or silly person ". 

India vs England 2nd semifinal T20 cricket match

 Yesterday was the second semifinal T20 cricket match between India and England.

England won the toss and decided to bowl first 

Rohit Sharma has really become a "hit" man !!!

He started the innings with a boundary. 

Though Kohli departed early scoring 9 runs, Rohit Sharma kept the momentum on.

Rishabh Pant also got out early scoring just 4 runs.

Sixer Surya has come to crease. 

This rain is  spoiling everything. 

I better  go to bed.

The match was interrupted by the rain.

Bangladesh won the toss and decided to bowl first. 

Indian opening batsman Rohit Sharma scored the first boundary of the match   !!!

Rohit Sharma has also hit a massive six. 

He wanted to repeat it one more time, but got caught. 

India were 39 for 1 wicket at the end of 3 overs.

Lizard inside the godrej !!!!

We have a godrej cupboard in our house where my mother keeps folded clothes.

My mother always keep doing open and close of cupboard.

Yesterday afternoon, she was taken aback by seeing a lizard inside the godrej  !!!!

It was a live lizard and it  was  sitting on the doors of the godrej.

My mother started shouting by seeing the lizard.

As I was lying down watching the roof ( which is my favourite time pass), I got disturbed  !!!

I realised it is a lizard. 

As I am quite intelligent than others,  first thing I did was to check whether the lizard is dead.

The lizard was not moving !!!

It was looking at something, motionless !!!

I thought it could  wag its tail or take little steps.

I said to my mother lizard must be in great shock as it has realised that there is no way to go out !!

I suggested that if we make some noise, like sshh.... Sshh.... It may move.

But as usual, my mother didn't like the idea  !!!!

She was scared that what to do if it moves deep inside ???

She do have a point. Don't she ???

Both of us came to the conclusion that to let the lizard as it is and to keep the door of the godrej open.....

Lizard may move by itself by sensing that exit doors are open  !!!!

After 5 minutes, lizard came out of the godrej and ran for its life.

We heaved a sigh of relief  !!!

Most well-known useless organs of our body

 As humans evolved over the ages, many organs which humans don't need  slowly disappeared.

But there are still some organs which humans don't need and bacteria and viruses have made them their safe haven. 

These organs may not be there in the future days.  But as bacteria and viruses attack them giving rise to the disease,  it is better to remove them from our body.

Here I have listed down 2 of  such useless organs.  I don't have both of them as they have got infected and I removed them.

1.  Appendix  - - -   This organ was needed when ancient humans were eating raw and plant based cellulose type food.

But as humans evolved over the ages  , fire was invented and humans started eating cooked food. 

So appendix is the organ which is not used in our body.  As it gets infected, it is better to remove it. 

2.  Wisdom teeth   - - -  We have two sets of molar teeth in our both side of the Jaws.

Wisdom teeth are the teeth we get when we reach our 30s.

The ancient humans were having wider mouth than us.  As they were eating raw food, they had 3 sets of molar teeth in their mouth. 

As they had wider area in the mouth, the third set of molar teeth could be easily fit in the mouth. 

 

As modern humans, our mouth has got shrunk over the ages. 

So there is no suitable place for wisdom teeth to get fit in.

Usually, these teeth don't come out of the jaws completely. Whatever comes out, that much easily gets attacked by bacteria and we get toothache.

Our tooth brush can not reach that area and we can not clean it. 

It is better to remove them as it don't make any difference.

ಚಿನ್ನದ ಸರ 

ವಜ್ರದ ಸರ 

ಇದನ್ನು ನೋಡಿ ತಾಯಿಗೆ ಆಯ್ತು 

         ಮತ್   ಸರ  (  ಮತ್ಸರ   )  !!!!

Naseeruddin 's logic

 Once Mulla Naseeruddin went for a steambath.. 

As he was poorly dressed up that day,  the spa workers didn't treat him well.

Though Naseeruddin felt insulted, he didn't complain. 

Before leaving the place, Naseeruddin gave workers 2 gold coins as tips !!!!

Very next day, Naseeruddin again went to have steambath but to this time he wore costly clothes.

This time spa workers treated him in a very good way,  because now they remembered that Naseeruddin gave gold coins as tips  !!!

Before leaving the place , Naseeruddin gave workers 2 copper coins as tips !!!

Naseeruddin looked at the faces of confused workers and said, 

" I have already given Today's tips yesterday itself !!!

This tips is for yesterday 's treatment  !!! 

It is team India H - 1B !!!

 I am talking about team USA which won against Pakistan  !!!!

With as many as 6 cricketers of Indian descent, most of them on temporary H - 1B visas that allow companies to hire over seas employees

USA vs Pakistan T20 cricket match

 Shocking Result  :  USA won against Pakistan  !!!

As we all know, T20 World Cup matches are going on. 

Yesterday it was the match between  USA and Pakistan. 

USA is the team taking part in the world cup for the first time  !!!

When the match started , Pakistan was batting first.

USA  bowling and fielding were very tight. 

Pakistan could score only 25 runs in first 5 overs. 

That too for the loss of first 3 important wickets  !!!

Pakistan finally managed to score 158 runs. 

But dangerous USA shined in batting also. 

USA won the match in super over thriller  !!! 

IDIOT syndrome

IDIOT syndrome arises from excessive internet health research leading to anxiety, self misdiagnosis and avoidance of professional health care.

IDIOT is a acronym.

The IDIOT syndrome quietly occurs when people abruptly stop their treatment because they have trusted Internet medical source information. 

Characteristic of IDIOT syndrome is spending excessive time online looking for information, undesired compulsive search for knowledge. 

What we can do ??? 

People must refrain from searching medical information from Internet. 

Seek the help of medical professionals. 

Question the information available on the Internet and consult a medical doctor before getting anxious.

A hapless victim

 Mulla Naseeruddin has contested for the election.

But alas !!! He lost the election by small margin of votes.

With a sad face , Naseeruddin complained near his friend ,

Naseeruddin  : I am a hapless victim  !!!

Friend  :  Victim of what  ??

Naseeruddin  :  Victim of accurate counting !!!!

Heartless animals

 Heart is one of the important organs which is responsible for pumping and filtering the blood through out the body.

But there are some animals who don't have heart at all  !!!

Most of them depend on diffusion.

Kids are always kids !!!!

 This incident happened when my nephew Aniruddha was a small kid.

One day, we had special function organised in nearby temple. 

The temple belongs to Goddess Durga. 

As the custom, every woman came to temple wearing a saree.

Men when entering the temple, have to remove their shirt. 

This is just a token of discipline. 

For Aniruddha, it was the first time coming to the temple to attend a function. 

All these were new to him. 

He was looking at everyone with great interest. 

But as soon as he saw the shirtless men, Aniruddha shouted 

"  Shame !!!   Shame !!!  Puppy shame  !!!!!" 

How Moon's gravity causes the ocean tides??

 We have high and low tides along the coasts and oceans of the world.

Both moon and sun exert their gravitational force on earth and on its water.

Moon's gravity is the main factor that influences the tides because moon is much closer to earth than the sun.

The side of the earth that is facing the moon experiences a stronger gravitational force than the other side of earth.

This difference in gravity creates a force that stretches  earth and its water along the line to the centre of earth and moon. 

This force is called tidal force and responsible for the high and low tides of water on ocean.
