 We have 3 litre bucket and 5 litre bucket.  With using these two only, how to measure 4 litres of water ??

Just we need to make proper use of buckets   !!!!

1. Fill the 5 litre bucket completely.

2.  Transfer the 5 litre water into 3 litre bucket. 

3.  As the 3 litre bucket is full, we are left with the  5 - 3  = 2 litre of water in 5 litre bucket.

4.  Now empty the 3 litre bucket.

5.  Pour back 2 litre of water left in the 5 litre bucket to 3 litre bucket.

6.  Now we have 2 litre of water in 3 litre bucket.

7.  5 litre bucket is completely empty. 

8. Now again completely fill 5 litre bucket. 

9.   We know that only 1 litre of water could be added to 3 litre bucket as it is already having 2 litres of water in it. 

10.  Pour the water from 5 litre bucket to 3 litre bucket till it becomes completely full. 

11.  Now we are left with 4 litre of water in 5 litre bucket  !!!!
