Recently American troops had destroyed Kharg island which is the main crude oil site of Iran.
Kharg island in Persian Gulf is also known as " orphan of the Pearl ".
It got its name because of these reasons -----
1. Solitary isolation
This island is separated and detached from Iranian mainland like a Pearl that had lost its oyster !!!!
2. Island's natural beauty is overlooked for modern oil trade.
Kharg island handles 90-95% of Iranian crude oil exports.
