Why do humans afraid of darkness ??

It mostly comes down to revolutionary survival.

For our ancestors, darkness meant being at a massive disadvantage against nocturnal predators.

Since we lack night vision, our brains developed a fear response to keep us away from potential danger we could not see.

Psychologically, it is more about fear of unknown than the absence of light itself.

When the eyes can not provide clear information,  the brain tends to trigger the "  fight or flight ' response !!!!
