  In a 10 liter solution, ratio of milk and water is 3  :  2.  How much milk is there in solution   ??

Answer 

The ratio of milk : water is  3 :  2

Total parts  3  +  2  =   5  parts.

Total solution  =  10  litres 

So,

The amount of milk in the solution,

        3

      ------   *     10   =    6  litres

        5

Amount of water in the solution,

        2

     ---------    *  10   =   4  litres

       5
