That little groove between nose and upper lip is called PHILTRUM !!!
I know after reading this, many of you just touched it !!!
Its a left over from how our face gets built in the womb.
Its basically an embryological scar. Humans don't use it for anything functional now.
The philtrum is very useful in DOGS AND CATS .......
Their philtrum is wet and helps carry moisture from mouth to nose , boosting their sense of smell.
For humans, its just vestigial , not able to function !!!!
