For more than 85 years, this village has been split into 2countries
One part lies in Moldova
Other in Romania !!!
The two parts of the village are located on the opposite banks of river Prut.
In june 1940, Soviet Union annexed the region which was the part of Romania into two.
One part stayed with Romania and
The other with Soviet Union.
For more than 50 years, families and friends were kept apart.
When Moldova declared independence from Soviet Union, two parts of villages finally able to visit each other !!!
Village still has an international border running through it ......
Village GROZESTI !!!!
