Brand new concrete cracks because it shrinks while it is drying.
Think it as the wet mud .....
When mud dries in Sun, it cracks. Same with concrete !!!
Why it happens fast ???
1. Top layer dries fast , but inside it remains wet.....
So it pulls and cracks.
2. Too much water in concrete mix.
More water = more cracks later !!!
3. New slab needs water daily for 7 days.
If no water, it cracks.......
4. Big slab needs small cuts.
If no cuts provided, it will crack anywhere it wants !!!
5. If ground below is soft, slab goes down and cracks.......
Simple fix :
Less water in mix.
Keep it wet with water for 7 days .....
