In botany,
A true fruit develops only from the ovary of flower
Ex : Mango , Peach
But in apple it does not happen like that.
In Apple flower, a region called thalamus or the base of the flower grows and becomes fleshy.
We eat that part !!!
Actual true fruit is the small core inside that contains the seeds.
As apple is developed from other parts of flower along with ovary, in this case it is the base of the flower !!!
Apple is called false fruit !!!!
