Ganesh's mouse is said to have been a heavenly soul named Krouncha.
He was cursed to transform into a rodent.
This mouse wreaked havoc and destruction until Ganesh calmed him down.
Once snubbed, mouse humbly volunteered to serve Ganesh forever.
This story highlights the transformation of ego into devotion.
