What causes the facial weakness in cold weather ??

 Some times,  when we take a walk in the cold weather, we feel that one side of our face to droop or become stiff.

 It was getting evening.

Aniruddha decided to take a round, riding on his new bicycle. 

My brother had gifted him a costly new bicycle on his birthday.

Aniruddha riding on his bicycle, came near the park. 

Already many children were playing in the park. 

Friends of Aniruddha were playing football at that time. 

They noticed Aniruddha riding on bicycle. 

They invited him to join them for playing football match. 

As it was getting dark,  Aniruddha tried to escape from the place. 

But his friends didn't let him to do so and finally Aniruddha agreed to join them. 

Now question comes, Where to park the new bicycle safely ???

Aniruddha thought for some time and parked his bicycle in front of a house.

Then he went to play ground. 

Aniruddha was fully engrossed in playing and the time was passing ...... 

Meanwhile my brother and sister in law were tensed as Aniruddha had not come home yet. 

They started searching...... 

They called his classmates but was of no use...... 

They searched in neighbour hood, but no clue..... 

Finally my brother decided to search in park and play ground. 

As he was nearing the playground, he spotted bicycle of Aniruddha parked in front of a house. 

Aniruddha didn't know how to lock the bicycle. He just parked in front of the house. 

Seeing the bicycle, my brother understood that Aniruddha must be somewhere around.

On deep checking, my brother spotted Aniruddha playing the football !!!!!

Aniruddha was made to come home as soon as possible. 

After listening to the heated words from everyone, Aniruddha was asked the question,

How could he leave his bicycle randomly without locking it???

Are sprouted potatoes safe to eat ??

 Yesterday I saw my mother taking out potatoes from the basket.

I observed that some of them were sprouted !!!

I asked my mother Have they got spoiled ??

My mother said No....

She carefully removed all the sprouts from the potatoes. 

Now the potatoes look normal  and my mother used them for cooking. 

Potatoes are the natural source of glycoalcoloid compounds. When consumed in small quantities, they offer health benefits.

But as they sprout, these compounds ' content begin to rise. When consumed in large quantities, they turn toxic.

It may result in low blood pressure, headache and fever.

Though people remove the sprouts and then use the potatoes,  it is advisable to reduce sprouting. 

We must avoid stockpiling potatoes. Buy potatoes as per requirement. The potatoes must not be stored with onions.

Reason for thanksgiving

 Mulla Naseeruddin hurriedly came inside the house and called his wife.

He asked his wife to arrange for a small thanksgiving ceremony.

Wife wanted to know the reason. 

Naseeruddin said His life is saved  !!!

Morning itself Naseeruddin had given his shirt to washerman to wash.

After washing, he had hung Naseeruddin's shirt on the cloth lines on roof.

Suddenly a strong gust of wind blew. 

Shirt fell to the ground  !!!

Naseeruddin thought he was lucky not to have been in the shirt..

Gravity hole

 Gravity hole is in Indian ocean near Sri Lanka.. 

What is a gravity hole ?

As per satellite images,  there is a vast section of the Indian ocean seafloor that weirdly keep sinking into a depression as if there is less mass under that region.

Now it has been said that earth's gravity is very low in this region. Hence it is called gravity hole.

Most likely reason for the formation of gravity hole is magma pumes. This is formed because of movement of tactonic plates.

 A King and a sandalwood selling merchant were best friends.

King was wealthy and his friend also. 

Both of them had the habit of walking together in the evening. 

That day sandalwood selling friend visited his godown after many days. 

There he saw that the sandalwood pieces he had collected and stored, were being destroyed by termites. 

Termites had already destroyed many sandalwood logs.

Looking at them, friend wanted to dispose them as soon as possible. 

But who will take sandalwood pieces in such large amount ??

Suddenly a thought struck him.

Suppose the King of this state that means his best friend dies, then to burn his dead body, these spoiled sandalwood logs can be used   !!!

That is the only way that his sandalwood pieces can be sold in a bulk. 

When the friend is getting these thoughts, King is also thinking the same.

Anyway my friend don't have children.

Both of these sentences can be taken into consideration separately. 

Now taking the second sentence separately into consideration, 

How many ' s ' are there in the sentence  ?

Funny story of lion and rabbit

 One day, both lion and rabbit together came to the hotel.

By watching them, everyone present in the hotel, were surprised...

The compensation

 Once Mulla Naseeruddin was walking on the road.

Suddenly a stranger came in front of him and slapped him !!!!

Naseeruddin stood there in the shock not knowing what was going on. 

After some time, same stranger returned and apologised to Naseeruddin for slapping him as he had got confused Naseeruddin with some one else.

Naseeruddin didn't feel satisfied with his apology. 

Naseeruddin dragged the stranger to court and narrated the whole story near the judge.

After listening, judge gave the judgement that Naseeruddin must slap the stranger to avenge the insult.

But Naseeruddin was not happy with the verdict.

So judge ordered the stranger to pay one gold coin in lieu of the slap.

Stranger left the court saying that he will return with the gold coin. 

Naseeruddin waited for some time but stranger didn't return. 

So, Naseeruddin stood up and slapped the judge squarely on the face  and said, 

I have lots of work to do. So whenever that man returns with the gold coin, you keep the gold coin as the compensation for this slap  !!!!!

Who is the real destroyer?

 In a village, there was the big menace of rats.. 

Rats were not sparing anything. How much people tried to protect their things, rats somehow destroy them. 

Unable to bear the burden, all villagers assembled together and listed out the methods to control the rats. 

There were more than 100 methods of controlling the rats which were suggested by villagers. 

Chief of village noted down all of them in a book and kept the book on the table. 

As it was getting dark, villagers decided to plan on the next day.

Everyone left . In the night , rat army had arrived in the house.

Rats observed that the book is lying on table .

Rats gathered around the book.

Book though it is scared  , started talking  !!

Book said ,

Don't come near me . I am the destroyer of rats.

I have more than 100 methods to control rats with me 

Tomorrow villagers are going to implement each one of them on you.

Listening to that , rats had a good laugh among themselves.

Rats just jumped on the book.

They just tore everything of the book.

Finally , book was left with pieces of paper .....

Obsessive compulsive disorder

 It was the COVID time.

Everyone were advised to properly wash their hands. 

Here was a lady who was  following the advisory but in a strange manner.

After touching anything, she was heading to bathroom to wash her hands. 

But how much ever she washes her hands, she is not satisfied. 

She was going on washing her hands till they become sore or chopped. 

This type of behaviour is called obsessive compulsive disorder. 

There is a difference between being perfectionist and obsessive compulsive disorder. 

I always double check if the stove, fan and lights are switched off. 

Also I double check if the doors of house are properly closed when going out. 

These practices cause no harm..

But they are called disorder when they affect the quality of life. 

Inauguration ceremony of IPL 2024

 Yesterday was the inauguration ceremony of IPL 2024..

Though I don't watch the matches played by different teams , I believe the players are playing just for money. 

In a single team, there are players from different countries  !!!!

I wonder what is the purpose  ???

If a T20 match being played between two individual countries, I would definitely watch. 

Because there will be a feeling that our country must win. 

Here I get confused who to support ???

IPL has become a player centered game.

Yesterday 's  was the inauguration of the male IPL tournament.  It was a colourful start. 

But BCCI had not done this much arrangement for women's IPL tournament. 

Why is this partiality between two genders  ??? 

Sport is always a sport   ...... 

Kids are always kids !!!!!!

 From today, men's IPL T20 Cricket matches are starting..... 

I remembered this incident happened recently. 

My nephew Aniruddha is having great interest in news regarding cricket .

I had a doubt.

Our Indian male cricket players only play in IPL T20 matches.

But throughout the world, T20 cricket matches are being played 

Indian male cricket players don't play in other T20 matches being held in other countries .

Why   ????

I asked my doubt near Aniruddha.

He explained

" There are many T20 leagues being played.

Like IPL of India, 

Pakistan  , Sri Lanka , Bangladesh , Australia, West Indies  , South Africa , UAE also conducting T20 leagues..

But Indian male cricket players don't play in every T20 cricket matches.

This is because of decision taken by BCCI...

Indian government has taken a stand that it's cricket players are not going to play with Pakistani cricket players. 

So, when other countries wished to conduct T20 league, they were given an option - - - - - - -

Either Indian cricket player in the team or the Pakistani cricket player in the team but not both of them together    !!!!

According to that, some countries chose Indian players and some, Pakistani players. 

We can find Indian male cricket players in T20 critical league of

India

UAE

Remember Pakistani cricket players don't play  in these leagues 

Similarly Pakistan , Sri Lanka, Bangladesh , Australia , West Indies premier T20 cricket matches don't have Indian players as they have opted for Pakistani players.

But same problem is not there in women's T20 cricket league.

Because Pakistan don't have a strong women T20 cricket team like us  !!!!
