Flying Hardik Pandya !!

Nowadays Indian cricket team is playing against New Zealand . Now they are playing 50 over match of 5 one day cricket series .



Out of 5 matches , India has already won 2 matches . Today is the 3rd match . I don't think New Zealand is going to win this match .




Opted to bat first , New Zealand managed to score 243 all out . India is batting now and already scored 168 /3 . India needs 76 runs from 17 overs .


I am here to write an article praising my favourite all rounder Hardik Pandya . Today he once again proved that he is an all rounder and he is fit and fine .


Recently Hardik Pandya was in news for all the wrong reasons . But now he has joined the Indian cricket team in New Zealand .


Today when he was fielding , he caught the ball in his both hands , by diving to his left . It was a very difficult catch indeed .


Hardik Pandya got hold of the ball , like he is flying in air with both of his feet above the ground !!!!

Why does sky looks more red during sunset than sunrise ?

Sunrise and sunset are the two phenomena where Sun is near the horizon . Everyone knows during sunrise and sunset , sky turns red or orange colour which is the mixure of red and yellow colour . My doubt is why sky looks more red during sunset than sunrise ? Before explaining this , I would like to tell some facts . Visible light is made of 7 colours which are violet , indigo , blue , green , yellow , orange and red . The wavelength of red colour is longer than violet colour . Now , the light from the Sun gets scattered before reaching the observer . Now when Sun is near the horizon , scattering is more . Because of this , light components of shorter wavelengths are virtually removed ( violet colour and others ) and only light components of longer wavelengths( yellow to red ) reach the observer . Hence , sky looks dark red or orange during sunrise and sunset when Sun is near the horizon . Let's come back to question . Why does the sky looks more red during sunset than sunrise? As I said earlier , light gets scattered throughout the atmosphere . During morning , dust particles and pollution are less . As day passes , the amount gets added up . During evening , scattering of light components is more . Scattering is more meaning more rays of longer wavelengths like red , orange and yellow colour . That's why sky looks more red during sunset than sunrise .

India has won the ODI match series against Australia

Today was the day of final match of the 3 match series against Australia . India has won the toss and opted to bowl first . So I didn't watch the Indian bowling session . I can't watch Indian bowlers and fielders getting punished from opponents .



Australia had scored 230 runs . I thought it is a small target compared to the target of second match . When India was able to chase down the huge target of 298 runs , this target is nothing .



I watched Indian batting . The play ground was very large . Even though batsmen try to hit a boundary or sixer , the ball is not going beyond the boundary line . Batsmen have to be satisfied with singles or two runs . I don't know how Australian players managed to score . That is their home ground .



Finally it was Dhoni who had come to rescue . Other batsmen too scored . But as the match progressed , it seemed very similar to second match .



Only difference was in the previous match , Dhoni had hit the winning run . But in this match , Kedar Jadhav did it .


Similarity is Dhoni was present in both the matches till the end !

Final over sixer by Dhoni made India to win

Today is the 2nd one day cricket match between India and Australia . As India has lost the first match of 3 match series ; today's match was the do or die match for India to keep the series alive .


Again Australia won the toss and elected to bat first . That time itself I feared that scenario of first match may repeat . So I switched off t.v.


Australia posted a score of 298 . It would have been different story in Indian cricket pitches to chase and win this mammoth total .


But it is an Australian cricket track . By watching the way Indian players played in the first match , I didn't imagined India may win this match .


But Indian openers Dhawan and Rohit Sharma succeeded in giving a sizzling start . By watching them playing , it was not a dream to chase the target .



After Dhawan departed , Kohli came . Kohli must be declared man of the match . He scored a century in tense situation .


But true match began after departure of Kohli . It is Dhoni who made India to win the match . The situation was too tense . In the final over , India needed 7 runs from 6 balls .


It may sound simple to score . The way Australian fielders were fielding , chances of scoring runs were very bleak .


But Dhoni hit a sixer in the first ball of final over !!!  Then it was not a problem to hit the single run to win from remaining 5 balls .


Dhoni is a great finisher and his six in final over made India to win the match .

India vs Australia first one day cricket match

Today is the first one day cricket match between India and Australia . I am in a great shock .


Australia batted first and scored 288 in 50 overs . Now India is batting .


It is just the 4th over . India is already scored 4 runs for 3 wickets !!


Sounds like some one who just learnt to play cricket match . The score of that team would be like this . India is sure going to lose the match .


WHAT A SHAME ....

Pink sweat of hippopotamus

We often find hippopotamus in water . It is a mammal . Unlike other mammals ( including humans ) , they secret a reddish oily fluid from special glands in their skin . This is also called blood sweat .


Hippopotamus try to avoid direct sunlight lying in water during the day and feeding during night . Their skin is very sensitive to both dryness and sunburn . So this secretion acts like ointment .


This fluid appears  red when exposed to sunlight . It is not sweat but this fluid acts as antibiotic , water repellent and also as skin moisturizer .

Expansion of gas when heated

The following experiment shows clearly how will the gas acts, when it is heated. Apparatus------- 1. A steel plate 2. An empty bottle whose mouth is completely covered by a balloon 3. Hot water Now we will keep the empty bottle on steel plate. Then hot water is added to plate. Now the balloon which was tied to the mouth of bottle, starts becoming bigger as if someone is blowing air into it ! Reason behind this _--------- We think bottle is empty as it is not having anything inside. But we are highly mistaken. Though there are no visible things inside the bottle , there is AIR inside the bottle Now this air is now trapped inside the bottle as its mouth is covered by a balloon. Now when we put hot water to the plate, it similar to the action of heating the bottle. We are heating the bottle means we are heating the trapped air inside. This air gets expand when it is heated. As there is no other way for it to occupy the space, it has to go inside the balloon by itself. Hence balloon gets swollen up by itself!

My year-end was made by kapil sharma .....

The comedy king Kapil Sharma is back with his show . The year end of 2018 had seen Kapil Sharma show season 2 .

I never laughed so much by watching any t.v. show like I did for Kapil Sharma show . I don't know why I start smiling by listening to Kapil's voice .

I was sure this second season also , Kapil is going to nail it . I was not disappointed . When the show started , Kapil made fun of himself .

Then the guest of the day , Ranvir Singh arrived . Ranvir Singh recently married Dipika Padukone who is also the crush of Kapil .!!!!

From that time itself , the other comedians started making fun of Kapil and his heart break ! It was very much fun to watch .

I didn't keep the count of how many times I have watched the episodes . Everytime it gives me a smile on my face .


My year end was passed laughing . I am sure in the coming new year of 2019 , I am going to have fun filled weekends because of Kapil Sharma show .
