ಮಳೆ ನಿಂತು ಹೋದ ಮೇಲೆ ......

ನಾನಿರುವ ಊರು ಕರ್ನಾಟಕದ ಕರಾವಳಿಯ ಉಡುಪಿ . ಎಲ್ಲರೂ ತಿಳಿದಿರುವಂತೆ ಕೇನ್ ಚಂಡಮಾರುತದ ಆರ್ಭಟ ಇಲ್ಲಿ ಸ್ವಲ್ಪ ಜೋರಾಗಿಯೇ ಇತ್ತು .


ಯಾವತ್ತೂ ಈ ಸಮಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಮಳೆ ಬಿಡುವು ಕೊಡುತ್ತದೆ . ಆದರೆ ಈ ಸಲ ಮಳೆಗಾಲವನ್ನು ನೆನಪಿಸುವ ಮಳೆ ಕಾಣಸಿಕ್ಕಿತು .


ನನ್ನ ಊರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಇರುವುದು ಎರಡೇ ಕಾಲ . ಒಂದು ಮಳೆಗಾಲ , ಇನ್ನೊಂದು ಬೇಸಿಗೆ ಕಾಲ . ಆದರೆ ಚಂಡಮಾರುತದ ಪ್ರಭಾವದಿಂದ ಇಡೀ ದಿನ ಚುಮು ಚುಮು ಚಳಿಯ ಅನುಭವ ಆಯಿತು .


ನಾನು ಪ್ರತಿದಿನ ಯಾವಾಗಲೂ ತಣ್ಣೀರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಸ್ನಾನ ಮಾಡುವುದು . ಇಷ್ಟಾದರೂ ಬರಿಯ ೫ ನಿಮಿಷದಲ್ಲಿ ಬೆವರು ಒಸರಲು ಶುರು .


ಆದರೆ ಈ ಸಲ ಹಾಗಾಗಲಿಲ್ಲ . ಚಳಿಯ ಅನುಭವ ಚೆನ್ನಾಗಿಯೇ ಆಯಿತು . ರಾತ್ರಿ ವೇಳೆ ಮಲಗುವಾಗ ಯಾವ ಮೇಲು ಹೊದಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಹೊದ್ದುಕೊಳ್ಳದ ನಾನು ಕಳೆದ ಎರಡು ದಿನಗಳಿಂದ ಕಂಬಳಿ ಹೊದ್ದುಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಿದ್ದೇನೆ .


ಆದರೆ ಇನ್ನು ಇವುಗಳ ಅಗತ್ಯ ನಮಗಿಲ್ಲ.  ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಚಂಡಮಾರುತವು ಓಮನ್ ದೇಶದ ಕಡೆ ಹೋಗಿದೆ  . ಇಲ್ಲಿ ಮತ್ತೆ ಬಿಸಿಲಿನ ಝಳ ಶುರುವಾಗಿದೆ .


ಮಳೆ ನಿಂತು ಹೋದ ಮೇಲೆ ಸೆಖೆಯು ಶುರುವಾಗಿದೆ ......

How to control anger ?

This incident shows how to control anger.

Saint Eknathji was famous for his soft nature . He was seen always singing songs about god . No one has seen him getting angry on others .

A rich man who hated Eknathji , was waiting for a opportunity to prove Eknathji wrong . A poor man had come near him asking financial help .

That time , rich man said he will help only if poor man is successful to make Eknathji angry . Poor man was in a great urgency for money and he agreed .

He went near Eknathji's house . That time , Eknathji was singing song praising god . Poor man stood at door and started abusing Eknathji. But he continued singing without paying attention.

This made poor man helpless . But he was in great need of money . So he entered the house and again started abusing . But this time also, Eknathji did not react . Poor man was now tired .

He sat down . That time, Eknathji came near him and asked him to have food as he look tired . Poor man thought this as the right time to insult Eknathji and he agreed .

Eknathji's wife was serving food . That time, this fellow jumped and sat on her back . Eknathji saw this and cautioned his wife to be careful as guest is sitting on her back .

Even his wife said she has practice of carrying a child on her back . This made poor man to surrender himself and he apologised near Eknathji saying that he had done all these pranks just for money as rich man had offered him .

Listening to that , Eknathji was very upset .

Because if he had known the true reason , he would get angry and be of some help to poor man to get the money!!!!

ನಾನು ಟಿ.ವಿ ಯಲ್ಲಿ ಬರುವ ಕನ್ನಡದ ಕೋಟ್ಯಾಧಿಪತಿ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ವೀಕ್ಷಿಸುತ್ತಾ ಇದ್ದಾಗ ಈ ಪ್ರಶ್ನೆ ನನನ್ನ ಗಮನ ಸೆಳೆಯಿತು .

ಆಶ್ಚರ್ಯವಾದರೂ ಇದು ಸ ತ್ಯ . ಪುದುಚೇರಿ ಫ್ರೆಂಚರ ಆಳ್ವಿಕೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಇತ್ತು . ಫ್ರೆಂಚರು ಪುದುಚೇರಿ ಮಾತ್ರವಲ್ಲ ಕೇರಳ ಸಮೀಪದ ಮಾಹೆ ಎಂಬ ದ್ವೀಪದ ಮೇಲೂ ನಿಯಂತ್ರಣ ಹೊಂದಿದ್ದರು .

Question on Hindu mythology in KBC

Koun Banega Crorepati is being aired on Sony tv . I was watching repeat telecast . There host Amitabh Bachchan asked a question on Hindu mythology .


Question was who was responsible for the broken tusk of God Ganesh ?

I know that God Ganesh is having a broken tusk . But I didn't know the reason behind that . I waited for options . Options were ---


Vishnu  , Parashuram , Brahma , Indra


As I was not knowing the answer , I was very curious to know the answer . The correct answer is Parashuram



Amitabh Bachchan himself explained that once Parashuram had gone to Kailash to see God Shiva . But God Shiva was meditating and he had instructed God Ganesh  not to allow anyone inside till he finishes his meditation .


As he was instructed , God Ganesh didn't allow Parashurzm to enter inside . Parashuram insisted on entering . But Ganesh refused .


Eventually , fight took place between the two . Parashuram always has Parashu or axe as his weapon . God Shiva himself had granted this axe to Parashuram .


So when doing fight , Ganesh could not go against the weapon of his father . Parashuram broke one of tusk of Ganesh with axe .


Ganesh cried with pain . Hearing the noise outside , God Shiva's meditation was interrupted . He came out . He understood the situation .


Later , Parashuram apologizes for what he has done and God Shiva forgives him .

Why do house flies always rubbing their legs ?

Its my favourite time pass to play with the house flies . My game is simple . House fly is sitting on the table . I was sitting on the chair . I just lifted my hand . The house fly just flew off .


As I don't have any other important work to do  , I just looked at the  direction in which house fly was flown . It was sitting on the other side of table . It was watching me . As soon as I lifted my hand , it again flew off . Doing like this , I spent whole of my day .


While passing my time like this , I observed that the house fly was continuously rubbing its hands . I was curious about this . I came to know that house fly is having cushion like structure under its hands .


When it sits on bacteria ridden shit , these bacteria gets stuck to its hands . As house fly is hygienic minded , it always tries to get rid of bacteria which has got stuck to its hands by rubbing .


The sad part is that house fly does this rubbing sitting on eatables we are going to have . Thus spreading the bacteria and thereby disease .


Just to keep themselves hygienic , these house flies sit and rub their hands on our food . Thus making us sick .

How do snakes produce their venom?

Recently I have come to know some interesting facts about snakes. As I always write about the things which make me surprise , even today I am writing the same. Snake venom is made by organs which are evolved from its salivary glands. Even we have salivary glands. What is the work of saliva? It contains enzymes which help to chew the food and thus helps in digestion. But saliva of snakes contain ever more toxic enzymes , that make it poisonous. The toxins in snake's venom contain complex mix of proteins that alter blood pressure, prevent blood clotting and paralyze nerves. That's why we die when a poisonous snake byte us if we don't receive medical help immediately.

Effect of keeping hate inside against others

Once teacher saw his students talking bad about others. Teacher wanted to tell the students how bad it is to keep the hate inside ourselves against others through an example .

He asked the students to bring potatoes next day. Next day , he asked the students to put the potatoes inside their bag.

He warned them not to throw the potatoes without his permission . Students agreed and kept the potatoes inside their bag .

1 day over .....


2 days over .....

One week was over ....


But teacher didn't utter a word about potatoes .

Now potatoes have become rotten and foul smell was coming out of them. As each and every student had rotten potatoes with him , whole class is now covered with foul smell.

Students started feeling uneasy . That time teacher asked them to open their bag and to throw the potatoes away .

Students hurriedly did that . Foul smell has vanished now . Teacher explained " By keeping the feeling of hate against others in ourselves , we are harming our own health . It does bad to our own body , like the rotten potatoes . Until we throw them out of our mind , its our own health which is going to get spoiled . Do not nurture the feeling of hate for somebody ."

ಗಾಂಧೀಜಿ ಸ್ವತಃ ಏಕೆ ಗಾಂಧಿ ಟೋಪಿ ಧರಿಸಲಿಲ್ಲ ?

ಗಾಂಧಿ ಜಯಂತಿ ದಿನಾಚರಣೆ ಪ್ರಯುಕ್ತ ನನ್ನ ಬ್ಲಾಗ್ ಲೇಖನ .

ರಾಜಕಾರಣಿ ಗಳು ಗಾಂಧಿ ಟೋಪಿ ಧರಿಸುವುದು ಸರ್ವೇ ಸಾಮಾನ್ಯ . ಅದನ್ನು ಧರಿಸಿ ತಾವು ಗಾಂಧಿ ಜಿಯವರ ಹಿಂಬಾಲಕರು ಎಂದು ಫೋಸ್ ಕೊಡುವುದು ನಾವೆಲ್ಲಾ ನೋಡಿದ್ದೇವೆ .


ಆದರೆ ನಾನು ಒಮ್ಮೆಯೂ ಗಾಂಧೀಜಿ ಈ ಟೋಪಿಗಳನ್ನು ಧರಿಸಿರುವ ಫೋಟೋ ನೋಡಿಲ್ಲ . ಮತ್ತೇಕೆ ಇದಕ್ಕೆ ಈ ಹೆಸರು ?


ನನಗೆ ತಿಳಿದು ಬಂದ ವಿಷಯ ಅಂದ್ರೆ ಗಾಂಧೀಜಿಯವರು ಮೊದಲು ಈ ಟೋಪಿಯನ್ನು ಧರಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು . ಒಂದು ಸಲ ಗಾಂಧೀಜಿ ಅವರು ಒಂದು ಸಮಾರಂಭದಲ್ಲಿ ತನ್ನ ಹಾಗೆ ಗಾಂಧಿ ಟೋಪಿ ಧರಿಸಿದ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಯ ನ್ನು ಕಂಡರು .

ಆದರೆ ಅ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿ ಒಬ್ಬ ಭ್ರಷ್ಟ ನೇತಾರ ಆಗಿದ್ದ. ಆಗಲೇ ಗಾಂಧೀಜಿಯವರು ಇನ್ನು ಮುಂದೆ ತಾನು ಗಾಂಧಿ ಟೋಪಿ ಧರಿಸುವುದು ಸೂಕ್ತವಲ್ಲ ಎಂದು ನಿರ್ಣಯಿಸಿದರು .


ಇದನ್ನು ಪೇಪರ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ಓದಿದೆ . ಸತ್ಯಾಸತ್ಯತೆಗಳನ್ನು ನಾನು ತಿಳಿದಿಲ್ಲ . ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಗಾಂಧಿ ಜಿಯವರು ಇದ್ದಾಗ ನಾನು ಹುಟ್ಟಿಯೇ ಇರಲಿಲ್ಲ !!
