ಇದು ಖ್ಯಾತ ಹನಿ ಕವಿ ಡುಂಡಿರಾಜ್ ಹೇಳಿದ್ದು. 

ಎಷ್ಟು ಹೇಳಿದರೂ ವ್ಯರ್ಥ 

ಅವಳಿಗೆ ಆಗುವುದಿಲ್ಲ ಅರ್ಥ

ಚೆಲುವು ಕೊಟ್ಟಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಆ ಸೃಷ್ಟಿ ಕರ್ತೃ 

ತಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮೆದುಳು ಇಡಲು ಮರೆತ   !!!! 

Kids are always kids !!!

 Yesterday national film awards were announced.

Charlie bagged best film awards in kannada language.

At that time, I remembered this incident. 

Charlie film was being telecasted on cable tv.

I could not watch the entire movie.

My nephew Anirudh had watched the movie in the theatre.

I knew that Charlie was the female dog and she had cancer. 

I asked Aniruddha to tell the remaining story. 

He said, 

" Later Charlie got married and had children. After that she died of cancer !!!". 

I didn't know what to say. 

Innocent Aniruddha !!! 

We are on moon !!!

 Yesterday Chandrayaan 3 had successfully dropped lander Vikram on moon. 

I was sitting in front of tv since 5 PM. 

On TV  they were showing what is happening inside ISRO. 

All the scientists who are part of the lunar mission were eagerly looking at the screen which was showing the descent of Vikram. 

They were all clapping as Vikram slowly inched towards lunar surface.  

The expectations were clearly visible. 

Whole world were watching us and one small  mistake also proves heavy. 

But this time we are successful in safe landing on moon and 

We are the first country to land on lunar South Pole. 

Watching my enjoyment  mother said  here tomato  was costly  Now onion and banana. These all won't make our life better. 

I agree but every year we are facing this problem. Every problem has a solution. 

Things like Chandrayaan definitely boost our morale. 

Birbal managed to shorten the road

 Once Akbar and Birbal went to neighbouring kingdom by walk . It was a long route to walk.

Both of them started to walk . It was the summer season. It was a very hot day .

Akbar was not at all used to walk under scorching sun . Soon Akbar was exhausted.

Wiping the sweat on his forehead , Akbar inquired Birbal how much distance left to reach the destination ?

Birbal was afraid to say that still long way to go .

Birbal thought of a plan and said to Akbar that if Akbar answers the questions asked by him , he will shorten the road that they are traveling .

Akbar readily agreed . 

Birbal went on asking questions one by one . 

Akbar like a polite student , tried to answer the questions taking sufficient time .

Suddenly Birbal stopped asking questions saying that his question bank got over..

Akbar wore a victorious smile on his face and said to Birbal that though he has answered all the questions asked by  Birbal , Birbal is unable to shorten the distance .

For that , Birbal replied they have already reached the destination by now .

Akbar looked at surroundings and realised what was Birbal meant by shortening the distance .

Don't do anything in haste !!

 I am not talking about a moral story.

I am talking about current affairs. 

I am talking about our lunar project Chandrayan 3 vs Russian lunar project

I am confident that learning from the mistakes that occurred in our last lunar project, we have started counting down for the landing on lunar South Pole. 

Till now, this lunar area was unexplored. 

Though USA and China have successfully completed their lunar project, this area which is always in darkness, no one didn't try. 

But we are hoping to successfully exploring this region. 

Russia on the other hand, prepared it's lunar project same as ours in a hurry. 

That time we had reached lunar orbit. 

Just to be the competetor to be the first one to explore lunar South Pole, I believe Russia prepared and launched it's lunar project. 

But alas! Russian launch vehicle got crashed.

This is an example to not to do things in a haste...... 

How do LED tube lights work?

 Yesterday my father brought LED tube light to replace with normal fluorescent tube light. 

Light Emitting Diodes ( LED) generally produces light when current runs through them

 As we know a diode has P-side and N-side. 

The N-side injects electrons to the P-side and P-side injects holes to N-side. 

Then on each side, the majority carriers reacts with these injected carriers , produces light taking the energy from electric current. 

For usual florescent tube light, we need a starter to ignite the mercury found inside and mainly used to complete the electric network. 

But for LED tube light, we don't need a starter. 

LED tube light is considered to be energy efficient. 

Shopkeeper said LED tube lights give bright light compared to florescent tube lights. I didn't feel any difference. 

Snoring is a disease

 We snore when something restricts airflow during sleep. 

Long term snoring increases the risk of heart attack, stroke and other health problems. 

Snoring happens when airflow is forced through obstructed area. The soft tissues found in the path, bump into each other and vibrate, thus producing the sound.

Snoring disrupts sleep thus resulting in lazyness  and loss of concentration in the work.

Snoring can be treated by lifestyle changes and through meditation. 

A tragic story

In a village, there lived a couple. After so many years of marriage, they were not 

blessed by children. They have done each and every thing. But still it was of no

use.

They have almost left the hopes about this matter. Soon their worry got ended

 and they were blessed by a son.

The son was cute. His parents were extra careful about him. His demands were 

met instantly. 

Son was little grown up now. He was taking small steps to walk and had the habit

 of tasting everything he see.

One day his father was in a hurry to go to office. He had brought rat poison last

 night and had kept it open on the table.

His wife was busy in the kitchen. Hurriedly he said about the rat poison that he

 kept it open on the table.

As wife was busy, she thought she will keep the rat poison in a safe place as soon

 as she gets free.

Their son was playing with the ball. When playing, ball had gone to the corner. To

 fetch it, he crawled under the table.

The table got moved and the rat poison which was kept open fell on the ground. 

Son was curious by seeing the cakes of rat poison and instantly he cut the cake

 and started chewing it.

As his mother was busy in the kitchen, she was not aware of what had happened.

 Soon son started choking continuously and died.

Father came back from office and saw his son laying down unconscious. He rushed

 to hospital. But it was too late and they have lost their son.

Now the blame game starts. 

Father accuses mother for being so careless about child. Mother accused father

 for keeping the rat poison open.

Whom to blame?

 Both of them are responsible for the tragedy happened according to me. 

Why do we celebrate independence day on August 15 ?

 We got independence from British on August 15, 1947.

Year 1947 is OK. But why on August 15 ? Why not on some other date or month ?? 

Remember we were ruled by British. So it was their own decision to give us independence on some date.

Why British have chosen the date August 15  ? 

There is an interesting story behind this.

It was the time of second world war.

By that time, America has dropped nuclear bombs on cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki of Japan. 

America and Britain were fighting against Japan.

When America had dropped nuclear bombs on Japan, watching the destruction Japan had to accept defeat. 

Japan officially announced their defeat on the radio on August 15. 

In remembrance of that, Lord Mount Batten announced our independence on August 15. 

Bheja fry question

 

I heard this bheja fry question on web radio recently. 

The RJ ask the question to listeners and reveal their answers at the end of the program. 

Question is, 

It hangs on the wall and falls down at the same time. 

Before knowing the correct answer ( question has multiple answers), I would like to share funny answers given by the listeners. 

One listener said,  His hopes !!!

I smiled at this answer. 

Many of us have this habit of writing our dreams or hopes on a paper and stick that to the wall.

Everyday we have a look at it and most of them will not get achieved.

The answer of listener has deep meaning. Must be true experience !!!!

Another listener said,  Painting of waterfall.

If we imagine water running in water fall, even this could be the right answer. 

Correct answer is curtains  !!!!

I don't think any explanation should be given to the answer. 

Marjala Sanyasi

 Marjala Sanyasi is Samskrit word meaning a cat disguised as a monk.

Once upon a time, there lived a cat. Cat is getting old and nowadays

 it has become difficult for it to catch the prey for food as it was

 doing earlier. 

After thinking for some time, it has come up with a plan. According

 to the plan, it started neglecting the mice even though they are

 running in front of it. 

Cat has completely changed its looks. Now it is wearing rudrakshi

 mala around its neck and always seen chanting the name of God.

It has started preaching too.

Mice were surprised of this sudden transformation of cat. Now cat

 is no longer running behind them to catch and kill. 

For a month, mice observed the behaviour of cat. Finally mice were

 sure that cat has changed its lifestyle.

Instead of hunting, cat is spending its time in chanting the name of

 God. It has become relaxed too. 

Mice were happy with the transformation of cat into a monk. They

 decided to invite the cat to their house so that cat could give some

 spiritual knowledge. 

Likewise mice invited cat to come to their house and stay with them

 for some time. 

Cat was eagerly waiting for this day and it agreed to the proposal

 instantly.

Now cat has come to the colony of mice, disguised as a monk. Cat

 was giving spiritual lectures every night. 

One week passed away without any problems. Mice had become the

 great followers of cat. 

Now cat has  started to show its true colour. After giving lecture at

 the night, cat has made mandatory for every mouse to have a word

 with it. 

Innocent mice agreed. What cat was doing is that it catches the last

 mouse which come to meet and kill the mouse and eat it. 

Innocent mice didn't get suspicious of cat. As the reproduction rate

 of mice is high, they even didn't remember who was new  born and

 who is dead. 

Like this, cat spent its old days without any problem. It was happy

 that its food is coming to its doorstep everyday !!! 

Nowadays even between us, there are some marjala Sanyasi s.

They are cheating us using our innocence and belief in God. Its

 better to stay away from them. 

Two people in one grave !!!

 Mulla Naseeruddin was walking past a cemetery.

There he found people burying a dead person. 

The mourners were saying, 

" Today, we lost a honest person who was a politician."

Naseeruddin thought for himself, 

"Time has turned tough nowadays. They have started burying 2 persons in the same grave  !!!!" 

Is tomato a vegetable or fruit ??

 Whether a food is a vegetable or fruit depends on if it's being discussed on culinary or botanical terms. 

Botanical classification is based on structure and function of the plant whereas culinary classification is based on flavor and recipe applications. 

Tomatoes are botanically fruits because they form from flower and contain seeds. 

Tomatoes are used in savory preparations. That's why they are classified as vegetables. 

In simple words , tomatoes are both fruit and vegetable. 

Reward for quarrelling !!!

 Once Mulla Naseeruddin and his wife had a great quarrel.

Both were accusing each other loudly. 

Naseeruddin was shouting at his wife at the highest level of his volume. 

Unable to hear that, his wife opened the door and ran out of the house !!!

Watching that, even Naseeruddin followed her still shouting at her.

His wife went inside the neighbouring house. 

Even Naseeruddin came inside the house. 

 

Both of them started quarrelling there again. 

Neighbour managed to placate them somehow. 

He offered snacks and drinks to both Naseeruddin and his wife. 

Naseeruddin was very happy by the friendly gesture of the neighbour. 

Next day morning, Naseeruddin started to shout on his wife loudly. 

When his wife set to go out, Naseeruddin said to his wife 

This time, go to Baker's house. 

He prepares tasty bakery food   !!!!!

Heliopolis memorial

 Heliopolis war memorial commemorates the memory of 3727 Indian soldiers who died fighting in various compaigns in Egypt and Palestine in first world war.

It is in Cairo, Egypt. 

The Heliopolis war memorial is part of the larger Heliopolis commonwealth war graves cemetery.

Indian troops of the expeditionary forces sent from India, played a major role in First World War.

Indian troops played a key role in securing the Suez canal in Egypt and Palestine.

This memorial bears the names of Indian soldiers who died fighting in various compaigns in first world war. 

Our prime minister Narendra Modi has paid his respects at this war memorial when he visited Egypt recently.
