Thinking with pre-occupied mind

A concert was organised in the city hall by a famous singer . People had overcrowded the hall , to listen to the singing of their favourite singer .

Suddenly , there was an announcement from organizers . They said the singer has cancelled his program . Now instead of him , one more singer will continue the program .

Soon , new singer has arrived on stage . That time itself , there was a small disturbance among audience . But new singer didn't care and he continued singing . His singing was outstanding .

Audience , though they liked his singing , they continued to abuse him . Finally , the artist revealed his true identity . He was the famous singer himself who was to give the program earlier !

ಆಪದ್ಭಾಂದವ ಶ್ರೀಕೃಷ್ಣ

ಇವತ್ತು ಶ್ರೀಕೃಷ್ಣ ಜನ್ಮಾಷ್ಟಮಿ ಆದ ಕಾರಣ ಈ ಕಥೆ ನನ್ನ ಕಣ್ಣಿಗೆ ಬಿತ್ತು ..

ಪಾಂಡವರ ಹೆಂಡತಿ ದ್ರೌಪದಿ . ಅವಳಣ್ಣ ಶ್ರೀಕೃಷ್ಣ . ಒಂದು ಸಲ ಕೃಷ್ಣ ಪಾಂಡವರ ಜೊತೆ ಮಾತಾಡಲು ಬೆಳಗ್ಗೆಯೇ ಬಂದ . ಊಟ ದ ಹೊತ್ತಾಯಿತು . ದ್ರೌಪದಿ ಕೃಷ್ಣನನ್ನು
ಉಪಚರಿಸು ತ್ತಾಳೆ .


ಊಟಕ್ಕೆಂದು ಅನ್ನ ಮಾಡಲು ಹೋಗುತ್ತಾಳೆ . ನೀರು ಬಿಸಿಗೆ ಇಡುತ್ತಾಳೆ . ಎಷ್ಟು ಹೊತ್ತಾದರು ನೀರು ಬಿಸಿಯೇ ಆಗುವುದಿಲ್ಲ . ಕೃಷ್ಣ ಹೊರಗೆ ಕಾಯುತ್ತಿರುತ್ತಾರೆ .


ದ್ರೌಪದಿಗೆ ತಲೆ ಬಿಸಿ ಆಗುತ್ತದೆ . ನೀರು ಬಿಸಿಯೇ ಆಗು ತ್ತಿಲ್ಲ . ದ್ರೌಪದಿ ಕೃಷ್ಣನ ಬಳಿ ಬಂದು ಈ ವಿಚಿತ್ರ ವಿದ್ಯಮಾನವನ್ನು ತಿಳಿಸುತ್ತಾಳೆ .

ಆಗ ಕೃಷ್ಣ ನಕ್ಕು ಆ ನೀರನ್ನು ಬಾವಿಗೆ ಚೆಲ್ಲಿ ಹೊಸ ನೀರನ್ನು ಬಿಸಿಗಿಡಲು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾನೆ . ದ್ರೌಪದಿ ಹಾಗೆ ಮಾಡಲು ನೀರು ಬಿಸಿ ಆಗುತ್ತದೆ . ಅನ್ನವೂ ತಯಾರಾಗುತ್ತದೆ .


ಚಕಿತ ದ್ರೌಪದಿ ಕಾರಣವನ್ನು ತಿಳಿಯ ಬಯಸಿದಾಗ ಕೃಷ್ಣ ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾನೆ ಮೊ ದಲು ಬಿಸಿಗಿಟ್ಟ ನೀರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಸಣ್ಣ ಕಪ್ಪೆ ಮರಿ ಇತ್ತು . ನೀರು ಬಿಸಿಯಾಗುವಾಗ ಅದು ಪ್ರಾಣಭಯದಿಂದ ನನ್ನ ನಾಮ ಸ್ಮರಣೆ ಮಾಡುತಿತ್ತು . ಹಾಗಾಗಿ ಅದನ್ನು ರಕ್ಷಿಸಲು ನಾನು ನೀರು ಬಿಸಿ ಆಗದ ಹಾಗೆ ನೋಡಿಕೊಂಡೆ ಎಂದ .

What happens if we over water a plant ?

This question raised in my mind when I saw my mother watering the plants in our garden during the rainy season .

I have an opinion that we have to feed a person only when he is hungry . We must remember that we over eat when we starve . Starving and being hungry are both different things .


The same applies to plants too . Growing plants use oxygen for respiration just like we do . Roots are essential for a plant as they bring in water and nutrients . Healthy soil allows the oxygen to fill in the gaps between the soil .



If there is too much water or the soil is constantly wet , there is no enough water pockets between the soil particles . This results in limited oxygen supply and plants are not able to breathe . Eventually , plants will die .

Why does hitting a tv remote make it to work sometimes?

Today when I was watching tv , suddenly tv remote stopped working . I thought maybe the batteries of remote got exhausted . At that time , I accidentally hit the remote twice . After that , remote control started working !!!


This malfunctioning of tv remote is quite common . Everyone of us experienced it . The batteries we use in the remote control stays there for a long time . Because of this , an oxidation layer forms between the terminals and batteries of remote .


Now this oxidation layer is having a high resistivity to the flow of current . Thus it hampers the smooth working of remote .


At that time , if we hit the remote , it shakes the inside of remote . By hitting , we are slightly repositioning the battery contacts . Also it shocks the terminals of remote , thereby forming a scratch in the oxidation layer .


It reduces the resistance offered by the oxidation layer and allows the current to flow through it again . And we feel that remote control has started working again !!!

ವರಮಹಾಲಕ್ಷ್ಮೀ ಹಬ್ಬದ ಆಚರಣೆಗೆ ಸಂಬಂಧಿಸಿದ ಕಥೆ

ಇವತ್ತು ವರಮಹಾಲಕ್ಷ್ಮೀ ಹಬ್ಬ . ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ತಕ್ಕಂತೆಯೇ ಈ ಕಥೆ .

ತುಂಬಾ ಹಿಂದೆ ಒಂದು ಊರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಚಾರುಮತಿ ಎನ್ನುವ ಗೃಹಿಣಿ ಇದ್ದಳು . ಆಕೆ ತುಂಬಾ ಬಡವಳು . ಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅನಾರೋಗ್ಯ ಪೀಡಿತ ಅತ್ತೆ ಮತ್ತು ಮಾವ ಇದ್ದರು . ಮನೆಯ ಕೆಲಸ ಮತ್ತು ಮಕ್ಕಳನ್ನು ನೋಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವುದು ಇದರಲ್ಲೇ ಆಕೆ ಹೈರಾಣಾಗಿ ಹೋಗುತ್ತಿದ್ದಳು .



ಆದರೆ ಅವಳು ಮಹಾಲಕ್ಷ್ಮಿ ಯ ಭಕ್ತೆ .


ಹೀಗಿರಲು ಒಂದು ದಿನ ಅವಳಿಗೆ ಕನಸಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಲಕ್ಷ್ಮಿ ದೇವಿ ಬಂದು ನಾನು ಶ್ರಾವಣ ಮಾಸದ ಎರಡನೆ ಶುಕ್ರವಾರದಂದು ಭೂಮಿಗೆ  ಬರುತ್ತೇನೆ . ಆವತ್ತು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥಿಸಿದಾಗ ಅವರ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಇಷ್ಟಾರ್ಥ ಗಳನ್ನು ಈಡೆರಿಸುತ್ತೇನೆ ಎಂದು ಮಾತು ಕೊಟ್ಟಳು .

ಅಂತೆಯೇ ಮನೆಯ ಸದಸ್ಯರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಮಹಾಲಕ್ಷ್ಮಿಯನ್ನು ಪೂಜಿಸಿ ತಮ್ಮ ಕಷ್ಟಗಳಿಂದ ಪಾರಾದರು. ಮುಂದೆ ಅವರಿಗ
ಜೀವನದುದ್ದಕ್ಕೂ ಸುಭಿಕ್ಷೆಯ ಕಾಲ ಎದುರಾಯಿತು . ಇದನ್ನು ಅರಿತ ಇತರ ಜನರೂ ಇದನ್ನೇ ಅನುಸರಿಸಿ ಭಾಗ್ಯವಂತರಾದರು .

ಅಂದಿನಿಂದ ಈ ಹಬ್ಬವನ್ನು ಆಚರಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ .

Positive thinking has given the life back

Rahul is the only son of his parents. Being 7 year old , he is very mischievous . His mother is always seen tired because Rahul don't listen to her. Out of curiosity , he go on touching inflammable things.

One day, Rahul's parents were out of city . Rahul was alone in the house . Though prohibited, Rahul went inside kitchen . He had seen his mother cooking . He started mocking the action.

First , he turned ON the knob of gas stove . But he didn't light it . He turned and switched ON mixer grinder.

Gas was leaking. There was a blast in the kitchen . Rahul lied down on floor with 70% of burns all over his body.

He was hospitalised. He was admitted in Intensive Care Unit. His whole body was covered in bandage except his eyes .

He was seeing his mother crying throughout day. He started to feel that his end has come. Even doctors after examination, said there is no hope.

That time he met a boy who was practising for his exam. Though he was outside, Rahul could hear his voice of by hearting poems and answers.

Rahul too started remembering . He became so interested that now he wants to go to school and start practising for exam!

He started showing improvements . To doctors' surprise , he was shifted to general ward . Less in a month , he was discharged from hospital!

His positive thinking to get cured as soon as possible , did the impossible , a reality.

Why do we have a running nose when we cry ?

I have observed it . When we cry tears come out of our eyes . That is quite obvious . But most of us will have the running nose too along with it . The liquid or snot we are having through our nose is quite watery unlike what we have when we get cold .


It is because the tears from our eye not only drain out onto our face , there is also a passage way in the inner corner of our eye that directly leads to our nose . In nose , tears get mixed with mucus ( which is already present there ) to form a very liquidy snot .



This is actually happening all the time . But we don't notice . But when we cry , there is lots of moisture from our eyes going into our nose , than the normal . Thus making the mucus even more liquidy than it would otherwise be .
