Asia cup final : India vs Bangladesh

Today is the final match between India and Bangladesh . India chose to field first .

I was expecting the early fall out of Bangladesh wickets . But Bangladesh openers are scoring runs , not singles but 4s and 6s .

One of the Bangladesh openers has already scored 50 . I have a feeling that Indian fielding has become very weak . The spirit when playing against Pakistan is missing .

It is very difficult to watch Bangladesh players scoring that too against US ! This match is not like playing against Afghanistan .

This is the final of Asia cup . Now I have switched off t.v. but I will be checking the scores . I think that would be the good option .

Dhoni Review System ( DRS ) in ind vs pak match !

Yesterday was the day of India vs Pakistan one day international cricket match . Pakistan had won the toss and opted to bat first . Indian fielding was very tight yesterday , so Pakistani batsmen could not score many runs .

But Pakistani openers were building the partnership with scoring singles . Indian bowlers were not successful in claiming wickets till that time .

That time , Indian bowler appealed for Leg Before Wicket ( LBW ) . That time , on field umpire gave the judgement of not out . But it was Dhoni who was very confident that it was out , signalled Indian captain to go for a review of judgement .


Guess what ?! Dhoni was right . It was an OUT . Thus , Pakistan lost their first wicket at the score of 28 . If Dhoni didn't suggest to go for a review , Indian cricket team would not have tasted a success of winning the match .


Then came Shoaib Malik to bat . He was scoring singles till he reached 50 . After that , he started to hit 4s and 6s . I was worried if this person goes on hitting like this , then Pakistan will manage to score a big total . I was very happy when he got out .


Finally , Pakistan was able to score 237 . I was relieved because India can chase down this total without any problem . Same thing happened . India chased the target and won by 7 wickets .

Hardik Pandya got injured ....

Yesterday was the Asia cup one day cricket match between India and Pakistan.  As both countries are being opponents of each other after champions trophy , everyone was waiting for this match.


Pakistan won the toss and elected to bat first . As soon as the match started , Pakistan lost their openers and were 3/2 . Chahal and also Manish Pande excelled in their fielding skills and got beautiful catches respectively . All was going well .

Hardik Pandya got injured himself while bowling . He was moved out of the ground in a stretcher . India managed to restrict Pakistan for a modest total of 165 with all wickets down .


I was very confident that India will chase down the total easily and will win the match . Same thing happened and India has won .


All is well but Hardik Pandya got injured . I am worried and could not enjoy the result .

I am confused , what is the correct answer?

I have got the answer to my confusion . When parenthesis are there , multiplication sign is invisible . But is implied that we must take into consideration . So , the 2nd method is correct .



Just now I came across a math problem . Looks simple.  After learning from mistake of previous problem , I applied BODMAS rule to solve the problem .


Problem


6 ÷ 2 ( 1 + 2 ) = ? 



I solved like this :

First , sum inside the bracket.


( 1 + 2 ) = 3



Now , 2 ( 3 )  is 2 × 3 = 6


Now , 6 ÷ 6


Answer is   1 .


This is what I learned in school . But there is a new approach to solve this problem . Answer is different .



Now I said parentheses means multiplication . So our new form of problem is like this ,


6 ÷ 2 × 3 = ?

Applying BODMAS ,

Division comes first . Then multiplication

So ,


6 ÷ 2 = 3

Now , problem is reduced to ,


3 × 3 = 9 


Final answer : 9 .

 The method I used is a common practice method . The next method is what people use nowadays . But interpretation of problem is different . I guess the 2nd interpretation is correct . But I am  confused totally .

How to prepare coconut laddu ?

Even this recipe of preparing laddu don't require use of fire . Very simple method to do .

Required ingredients ------

Fresh grated coconut
Sugar powder
Milk powder
Milk


Procedure -----


Take the grated fresh coconut in a bowl . Add sugar powder as per taste.  Now add milk powder . Mix well.


Now add little milk to the mixture so that we can get the required consistency to roll up the laddu using hand .

Now coconut laddu is ready to taste .

What keeps water inside the bucket when we spin it around?

It is one of the science experiment I watched recently on TV. A bucket full of water was made to spin around, but the water has not fallen to ground !! When we swing a bucket of water around , the force that keeps out the water from falling to the ground is CENTRIFUGAL FORCE due to rotation of bucket. Here there are two forces acting which are opposing each other. The centripetal force applied by the bucket stops the water from flying outwards and the centrifugal force due to rotation stops water from falling down. They are equal and opposite so the water stays inside the bucket when we spin it around.

Tricky question . How I failed to solve it

This question I saw it on a quiz show that aired last week . It sounds simple . But actually it's not .

If 3 cats kill 3 rats in 3 days , how many days it takes  for 100 cats to kill 100 rats ?

I thought it is very simple.

3 cats          3 rats         3 days
100 cats     100 rats        ?


I pictured the above equation in my mind . Answer is quite obvious from the above equation .

100 days !!!!



 Is that really that simple ???


No. ... .....


We have to tackle this with cool mind .


3 cats take 3 days to kill 3 rats . Think differently . Cats will not hunt in a calculated manner . This question won't sound right if 3 different cats kill 3 different rats in 3 different days.


This has to be a single cat taking 3 days to kill a rat .


So , equation is

 1 cat                   1 rat                 3 days
100 cats               100 rats          3 days



Whether it is 10 cats or 100 cats , they take just 3 days to kill rats . Not 100 days as I imagined .
