Why do we wrap jewellery in pink colour paper?

We have seen the jewellery we have bought in the jewellery shop , are always wrapped in a pink colour paper .


Why not other colours ?


The jewellery made of gold , silver , diamond or platinum are already shining or glittering  . The glow is highlighted when contrasted against bold colours .  Jewellers always use paper sheets to protect the jewels against scratches .


Scientifically , darker backgrounds of a wrapping paper will absorb more light , making an attractive contrast background to the shining jewels , reflecting off light . Now if the wrapping paper is white , as we know white reflects all colours , thereby the glow of jewels would be reduced .


Why not black colour then ? We know that black colour absorbs most light , reflecting off none . It would be the ideal colour of paper to wrap the jewels . But it is a colour that is associated with mourning and negativity . People will not like to buy the jewels wrapped in a black colour paper .


That's why jewellers selected pink colour which is a bold colour and is often associated with happiness and joy . That is the reason why wrapping paper of jewellery is pink .

India vs Australia test cricket match 4th day

I am not too interested to watch test match cricket . But India vs Australia test cricket match is going on . Today is the 4th day . One day of match is still remaining . Australia has finished its both the innings and has given 287 runs as the target for India to chase down .


From today, match is going to be interesting . Like that I thought . 287 is not a big total to chase . But I was wrong . India started its innings and lost the first wicket for 0 runs !


The suffering did not stop here . Soon India lost its second wicket for 13 runs . That too Cheteshwar Poojara ! who was the saviour in the first match . Now Kohli and Murali Vijay are playing .

I don't think any Indian batsman will stick to the crease and play in this pitch . I expect the match to end today itself with India losing .

India has won the first test match by 31 runs

Today was the last day of first test cricket match against Australia . Though I am not interested in watching test cricket match , the final day of this match was predicted to be in the side of India  .


Same thing happened . This win was possible because of the century scored by Chetashwar Poojara . He was the saviour for India in the first innings . All the top order batsmen were back in pavilion but he stood like a rock .


Indian bowlers were good with ball specially spinners . I watched the final day of cricket match as everyone was expecting India to win .


I soon realized this match is not my cup of tea. Though the target was fixed , there is no limit for the balls to be taken . So batsmen were happily seen playing dot shots or taking singles  .


I watched the final wicket of Australia falling and Indian players celebrating their victory after 10 years .

Explanation of scientific experiment

Today I saw one simple scientific experiment. Even though explanation was given , I could not hear it properly. I made my own logic behind the phenomena. A scientist took one glass long plate. He has spread a few drops of water over it and then kept a piece of paper on the wet surface. Now he placed a lighting candle in the middle and placed an empty glass beaker over it thus covering it completely. Now what happens next is interesting. Candle glows for a few seconds and then blown off. Now he lifted the entire glass plate and held it upside down ! No.,...no..... Nothing ( even the piece of paper ) fell down even though he made it upside down. WHY?????? This is entirely my logic. The candle was glowing inside the glass beaker. It will glow until there is a trace of air. When air becomes empty, candle will blew off. Now there is no air inside the beaker that means a vaccum is created. Now air present in atmosphere will rush to the vacuum area to occupy the space. It will exert such a force that the things which are in its way to vacuum area also will get attached to vacuum area. That's why when we make it upside down, things on ( piece of paper ) glass plate will not fall down. That is ATMOSPHERIC PRESSURE. .

Why do women can not protect a secret ?

I am telling the story which is responsible for women's fate . Being a woman , I too agree that it is not easy to protect a secret , if it is told that it should be protected !! May be there are few exceptions .


We all know that Mahabharata war took place between Pandavas and Kouravas . Pandavas are considered as children of Kunti as she was looking after them since childhood .


Karna , was also the son of Kunti . But he was not considered as one of Pandavas . Because he was born when Kunti was still unmarried . Kunti disowned him as soon as she gave birth to him . A childless fisherman couple found him and looked after him as their own child .



Time passed , Karna and Duryodhan became friends . So when war took place , Karna stood with his friend . But later , Kunti said to Karna that he is also her son . Now Karna is in a fix because he was fighting against his own brothers !


But Pandavas were still unaware of the fact . Eventually , they have killed him as he is their opponent . At that time , Kunti came forward and said the truth . Pandavas were angry as they have killed their own elder brother ! At that time  , Eldest of Pandavas   , Yudhishtira , cursed the whole womanhood .



From nowonwards , no woman can protect a secret .


This is the reason why women can not protect a secret for a long time .
