Who is responsible for the win ?

 It was the time when Mahabharata war got over.

Pandavas along with Sri Krishna were sitting chatting. 

That time, Sri Krishna wanted to know who is responsible for the win in the war?

Yudhishtira said it is because of his goodness and his nature of not doing any partiality is the main reason.

Bhima said it is because of his muscle strength they have won the war.

Arjuna said they have won the war because of his archery skills.

Nakula and Sahadeva said it is because of Sri Krishna 's support that they have won the war.

After listening to Pandavas, Sri Krishna said, 

"it is because of Karna. His nature of giving alms without worrying about the consequences helped us.

Even though knowing that giving his kavacha and Karna kundala as alms to unknown people will result in his death, he didn't take the step backwards. 

Otherwise he would be invincible.... 

He didn't care about his safety. That's why he is always hailed as daanashoora Karna. 

Fact about Rome

 Rome is sometimes called city of the fountains. 

Rome has more than 2000 water fountains.

People of Rome as well as visitors can avail water from these fountains because we get drinking water from the fountains !!!

This method was introduced in 1870s 

Fountains also work as the release valves for the water pipes to prevent them from bursting.

By keeping the water constantly running, authorities prevent water from stagnating and allowing the build up of bacteria. 

Can a fish cry or sneeze???

 Fish can cough but can not sneeze.

Fish breathe through gills. They don't have lungs as we do. 

Fish take in water through gills and then expel it. They will cough if they end up with a particle or the other foreign object in their gills.

Fish don't sneeze because they don't take air into their gills. So there is no need to expel the air through sneezing. 

Ati vinayam dhoorta lakshanam

 The above Sanskrit language saying states that the person who shows politeness than required , ought to cheat someone.

Long ago , there lived a rich man . He was alone .

To make his kitchen and house hold work , he hired a servant.

But that servant is actually a cheater . As rich man is living alone , he planned to loot him.

Whatever rich man is bringing for food , be it milk , vegetables or groceries , servant was taking half of it to his house .

To make sure that rich man is unaware of this  , he was talking nicely and was showing false care on rich man.

But soon rich man grew suspicious as the things he bought for one month are getting over by the middle of the month.

But servant was acting like nothing has happened . This made rich man to get more suspicious .

One day after bringing all essential things to house , rich man hid himself in the corner of the house so that he can keep an eye on the servant .

Soon he spotted the servant packing half of the things to his bag . 

Rich man didn't say anything to servant but on the next day fired him from job .

Moral : Beware of the people who show politeness unnecessarily .

How to separate sand and sugar mixture ??

 One day, a scholar from neighbouring state came to Akbar 's court.

He said that  he has heard of wisdom of Birbal and now he wants to check it out.

Akbar agreed.

Scholar has brought a pot with him. Inside the pot, there was the mixture of sand and sugar.

Scholar challenged Birbal to separate them from each other without using water. 

Birbal accepted the challenge.

Birbal took the pot and went to garden. 

There he spilled the mixture on ground. 

Soon, ants came and carried away all the sugar particles to their home.

Now only sand particles are remaining on ground.

Showing that to scholor, Birbal said, 

Look !!! Both sugar and sand are separated.

Here are the sand particles. 

To get the sugar particles, you must empty the house of ants  !!!! 

Kids are always kids !!!

 Yesterday I met a mother of twins.

Both of them are look alike of each other.

They are just 1 year old .

If one boy starts doing something , his brother is going to end that   !!!!

That much understanding they have.

I was impressed just by spending half an hour time with the boys .

When returning home , I asked their mother , do they sleep together in cradle  ??

She said  nope. 

I asked why not ??? 

She said,  if they do, one's head will be in another 's hand !!!! 

Naseeruddin's important idea

 Wife of Mulla Naseeruddin was a good cook.

One evening, she prepared Naseeruddin's favourite kheer.

She placed the dessert in a large bowl and kept it in front of Naseeruddin.

Seeing his favourite kheer,  Naseeruddin attacked the kheer with gusto.

He was smacking his lips and fingers, showing no signs of surrending the bowl  !!!

Naseeruddin 's wife pulled away the bowl with some kheer remaining.

She said ,  she will keep it for tomorrow.

Naseeruddin didn't like the idea but he kept quite.

It was night and both of them were sleeping.

Naseeruddin tried to wake up his wife in the middle of the night. 

She inquired through her sleep laden eyes, What is it now   ??

Naseeruddin said he wants to tell about his important idea.

But he will tell only if she agrees to get him the kheer now  !!!

Now wife had become too curious to know about the idea and allowed Naseeruddin to finish off the remaining kheer.

Naseeruddin tucked into the kheer and finished everything.

Naseeruddin 's wife watching him all these while and asked him to share the idea.

Naseeruddin said, 

I have this wonderful idea,,

Instead of leaving the kheer for tomorrow, why not finish it that day itself when it is still fresh ????!!!!!! 

Bheja fry question

 Recently I came across this question on web radio.

Question is very simple. 

If we cut a rope once, we get 2 pieces. Then how many pieces will we get if we cut the rope  thrice  ?

I will explain what I first did.

I did the cross multiplication.

That means once we cut, we get 2 pieces.

So                  thrice we cut. We get 3 *2 = 6 pieces.

But above method is wrong.

Don't make the mistake as I did.

Correct method

When we cut a rope once, we get 2 pieces. 

Now out of them, take one piece.

Cut that. We get 2 pieces. This is the second cut. 

Now we have 3 pieces of rope with us. 

As the third cut, take one of the pieces. Cut it to get 2 pieces. 

Finally we have 2 pieces which were there already and now new 2 pieces we have got by cutting the rope just now .

Finally, after 3 cuts we have 4 pieces of rope not 6 !!! 

Ponzi scheme

 We often read in news papers about some financial organisations shuttling their doors and not returning the hard earned money deposited by innocent people.

Such schemes are known as Ponzi schemes.

A Ponzi scheme is an investment fraud that pays existing investors with funds collected from new investors.

Ponzi scheme investors often promise to invest the collected money and generate high returns with no risk.

But these fraudsters do not invest money.

Instead they use the recently collected money to pay those who invested in the scheme earlier.

With no legitimate earnings,  Ponzi schemes requires a constant flow of new money to survive. 

When it becomes hard to recruit new investors or existing investors cash out in large number, these schemes collapse. 

Ponzi schemes are named after Charles Ponzi who duped investors for the first time in 1920 with such a scheme. 

Who wants to go to Vaikuntha ?

 This was the question asked by King Prahlad to his people.

We all know the story of Narasimha avatara.

God Vishnu has taken the form of Narasimha to save his follower Prahlad from the clutches of his cruel father Hiranyakashipu.

After releasing Prahlad, Narasimha made Prahlad as the king. Prahlad too ruled the kingdom with justice.

Now Prahlad time has come. Narasimha himself had come to earth to bring Prahlad to Vaikuntha. 

But Prahlad wanted his people to accompany him when going to Vaikuntha. Narasimha agreed for Prahlad 's request.

Narasimha asked Prahlad to ask his people who all come to Vaikuntha with him ?

Prahlad agreed and asked a man who was praying in temple that whether he wants to come to Vaikuntha with him? 

Hearing that, the man got angry.  He said he is still waiting to get married..!!!!  He doesn't want to come to Vaikuntha. 

Disheartened Prahlad went near an elderly man who was chanting name of God. 

Prahlad asked him the same question. Even the elderly man was not ready. He said he don't want to die just to come to Vaikuntha. 

Prahlad realised that till their death, people don't want to come out of their own world. 

ಎಂಥಾ ಚೊರೆ ಮಾರ್ರೆ , ಶ್ಶೆ !!!

  This is the reaction of the people in our area .

I live in coastal area of Karnataka .

For the past 3days , we are receiving the good rainfall in this rainy season 

It is a typical monsoon rain . No thunder , no lightning . Just the rain.

Sky is fully covered with clouds and sun has not come forward of clouds. 

It is the darkness of rainy season  !!! 

Just 3 days back, wells in our area were dried up and our municipality was providing water in tankers for household chores. 

Now everything is changed  !!!! 

Ground water level is increased and water sources are providing water. 

Temperature level has drastically come down. 

People who were roaming half naked , now can be seen fully dressed up. 

Sweaters, rain coats and umbrellas have come out. 

The fans of our house which were giving the service 24*7,  are now enjoying their rest period  !!!! 

People who were begging for rain to come, now are saying the above sentence. 

These words are not because of hate. 

But of love hidden under the false anger  !!!! 

Easy avalakki oggarane

Take thick poha of desired quantity and soak it in the water for about 5 minutes. 

After soaking, dry up the water content fully. 

 Keep a frying pan on gas stove, switch on the gas. 

Now add 2 table spoons of oil. 

Now add mustard and jeera each 1 spoon.

Now add little turmeric powder, few green chillies and curry leaves. 

Now switch off the gas. 

Add soaked poha to it. Keeping the gas off, add lemon juice to it. 

Now switch on the gas and mix well. 

Add Grated coconut and salt to taste. 

Bitter truth # Paris riots

 Riots are going on in France.

The reason seems very silly to us, Indians as we hear this type of incident almost every day. 

What happened was there was a boy named, Nahel. 

He was shot in the chest for driving off during a police traffic check. 

The killing is recorded on camera and video was shared on social media.

The mob was heard saying Allahu Akbar while vandalising vehicles and setting them ablaze.

One journalist said that Islamic migrant communities unleash their destructive potential with riots, attacks, fire, looting and destruction of public services.

Last time, same situation was there in our country. 

People were misleaded  for CAA act. 

But for us, Indians, it is a common incident.  

Since our independence,  we have witnessed these type of incidents.

It is happening because people of one community ( no need to say who they are ),  think that they, their religion and their God is supreme.

The new generation of this community is getting easily manipulated. 

Now through out the world, this type of incident will be common. 

Noblest and lowest person

 Once Akbar asked Birbal to find a man who is both noblest and lowest at the same time.

Birbal agreed and went in search of such a person.

He returned to the court after so many days 

Along with him, there was another person who wore torn clothes. He had unshaven beard and hair. 

He was looking as though he had not eaten for many days. 

Pointing at him, Birbal said, he is the person who is passing lowest lifestyle.

Akbar asked but how is he noblest ?

Birbal replied,  a person who is standing in front of Akbar has to be a noblest person !!!

Akbar smiled at Birbal's witty answer and rewarded both of them with prize.
