India has won the 2nd test cricket match against Australia

 I am not interested in watching test match telecasts . After India was all out for just 36 runs in their first test against Australia  , my decision seemed correct .

But second test is entirely different . India is in command from the first day itself . I didn't watch the match till yesterday fearing that same story may repeat .

But as the match progressed and india's win looked more clear , I started to watch the match today .

When I started to watch , India needed 58 runs to win with all the wickets in hand . But as I started watching , opening batsman Mayank got out just for 5 runs .

Then Pujara came and even he got out for 3 runs . I started repenting my decision of watching the match .  But skipper Rahane and Shubhman Gill succeded in hitting boundaries and easrd the tension .

Now India needed just 1 run to win the match . Australian fielders are not allowing the Indian batsmen to take that run . Australia anyway is going to lose , they should show some broad mindedness to allow India to score that run and finish off the match.

Finally India scored the single run and levelled the 4 match series by 1 - 1 .

Friend in need is friend indeed !!!

One day it was a sudden heavy rain fall in forest . None of the animals were prepared for this condition . An ant was busy in constructing its home near the river bank . But this sudden downpour made it to loose its house . Now it is getting drowned in the flowing rain water . It is trying desperately to breathe .




That time itself , a pigeon was trying to save itself from falling rain water . It was very near to a tree branch which is above the river bank . As it was heading towards its shelter , it observed that the ant is getting drowned in the flowing rain water .




In order to save the life of the ant , instantaneously it carried a long dry tree branch in its beak and flying at ground level , it offered the tree branch as a support for the ant , to climb up on it .



Then pigeon slowly dropped the tree branch on dry ground . Ant was very grateful to pigeon for saving its life . It promised to pigeon for that it has got a new friend in pigeon and also it is ready to help pigeon in its difficult times .




Then they departed . Days passed . All the animals got busy in their daily routine .  But pigeon and ant were still friends .



One day a Hunter entered the forest . At that time , ant and pigeon were talking with each other , sitting on the ground . Pigeon didn't realised that Hunter was standing behind . Soon Hunter caught hold of the pigeon by its neck .



Ant quickly understood the situation . It understood that its friend is in great danger . Without wasting a second , it bit the leg of the Hunter so hard that he screamed and let go of pigeon and started rubbing his leg . Pigeon flew away to a safer place .



Friend in need is friend indeed !!!!

Birbal came to the rescue of astrologer .....

A word famous astrologer has visited King Akbar's court . It was said that whatever he predicts about future of a person , its going to be true .



Even King Akbar heard these sayings . So when the astrologer visited his court , Akbar wanted to know what his future will be like . He showed his palm to astrologer waiting for his reply .



Astrologer examined the lines on his palm . Finally , he said Akbar is going to witness the death of his relatives . This made the king to get angry .



Akbar instantly ordered the soldiers to take the astrologer to custody . Astrologer was scared of his life . He pleaded Birbal for help .



Birbal thought for a while . Then he said to Akbar that he has misinterpreted the saying of astrologer . What astrologer trying to say was king will live longer than his relatives .!!!



This made the king to calm down and he released the astrologer .

Rambhasura n karambhasura

I love to read the Hindu mythology books . Specially that part having the stories of demons . I have written about famous demons earlier . Today I am writing about 2 demon brothers .



They are Rambhasura and his brother Karambhasura . Recently I heard the story about them . These demons wished for immortality and likewise got the boon too . Now everyone must die some or the other day . I am writing about how they have met their end in the hands of gods .


These demon brothers are always giving trouble to others since their childhood . They were killing and eating their fellow students , i mean the demon brothers are eating .


Soon they have grown up . Now they want to occupy heaven itself and be the rulers of this whole universe !! To achieve this goal , they started performing penance to please gods .


Rambhasura started doing penance to please Agni , God of fire . Karambhasura started doing penance to please Varuna , God of water .


They were doing penance standing on one leg amidst fire and water respectively . The owner of heaven , God Indra got scared of them . He knew they want to occupy heaven .


So he took the form of a crocodile and managed to kill Karambhasura who was doing penance amidst water . But could not do anything with Rambhasura who was doing penance amidst fire .



Soon , Agni got pleased with the penance of Rambhasura . He was ready to grant the boon for which the demon wished for .

Rambhasura got the boon that he would not be killed by anyone including animal , bird , god , demon and humans . Only a dead man can kill him . Meaning immortality itself .


Because of this boon , the demon was invincible and started giving trouble to the whole universe . But he can be killed only by a dead man . Now how it is possible ?????


Gods assembled together and thought of a solution . Indra was having the weapon called Vajrayudha . It was made from the backbone of Saint Dhadhichi after his death .


So this meets all the required criteria to kill the troublesome demon . Likewise Indra killed Rambhasura using Vajrayudha .

2 big Sixers in final over !

 Today is the second T20 cricket match between India and Australia . It is the series of 3 matches . After winning the first match , India were leading the series by 1- 0 .

In today's match , Australia batted first . As I am a well wisher of Indian cricket team , I didn't watched the Australian batting . I decided to watch Indian batting .

When I started watching , india needed to score 195 runs from 20 overs . Big total to chase down .

But Indian openers Dhawan and Rahul started well scoring boundaries and sixers . But the required runrate is high and India needed to go for hitting big shots .

Indian batsmen did  the same . When death overs meaning final 4 overs are nearing , Kohli got out .

Now it is upto Hardik Pandya and Shreyas Iyer to decide whether to win the match or to lose it.

I was sitting on the edge of the sofa when 19 the over started . This is the decider one . Either they have to score sixers or to  accept defeat.

Hardik Pandya was there on the crease . Only sixers could help us to win the match and the series .

Hardik Pandya didn't disappointed me . He scored the much needed 2 sixers in the final over .

India has won the T20 cricket match series of 3 games by 2 - 0 .

What would we do without Ravindra Jadeja ?

 I was wondering like this after I watched the first T20 cricket match between India and Australia . 

Being losing the toss , India batted first . It was Rahul who steadied the Indian batting line up after losing Dhawan and Kohli .

Steadily India went on losing the wickets . It seemed like it is difficult to post a competitive score for Australia to chase . But it was the heroic effort by Ravindra Jadeja in last 2 overs that made India to post a score of 160 runs.

I again started watching the t.v. when Australia needed 35 runs from last 12 balls .

Indian bowlers and fielders played really good in the last 2 death overs . They had created a scenario such that it was impossible for Australia to win the match .

IPL EXPERIENCE REALLY HELPED THE INDIAN SIDE .

India has won the first T20 cricket match .

Why do chapped lips feel burnt when we lick it ?

Chapped or cracked lips is the term used to describe dry lips .



What causes chapped lips ?

Lips don't contain oil glands like other parts of skin .  This means lips are more susceptible to drying out and become cracked . Lack of moisture can make the problem worse . Little humidity in the months of winter season is known to cause chapped lips .


Saliva from the tongue can further strip the lips of moisture . This causes more dryness . That's why licking the already dried lips feels burnt .


To get rid of this , we can apply lip balm .

Who is prettier ?

 This story I had read it few months back . I found it really inspiring .

God Vishnu had 2 wives . One is  ADRUSHTA LAKSHMI ( goddess of good luck ) and the other one is DURADRUSHTA LAKSHMI . 

One day , both of them started quaralling with each other arguing about whom their husband ( God Vishnu ) thinks is the prettiest one .

They could not arrive at a conclusion . They thought they will ask their husband directly to know the truth .

Likewise both of them went near their husband and asked him to decide who is the prettiest between the two .

Now God Vishnu is in  a fix He don't want to hurt the feeling of either of them . He thought for a second .

Then he gave the most diplomatic answer . His answer is ------

He turned towards DURADRUSHTA LAKSHMI and said " I find you prettier when you are leaving the place ".

He turned towards ADRUSHTA LAKSHMI and said " I find you prettier when you are coming in to the place " .

Both of them were satisfied with the answer .

How Akbar traced the missing Birbal

 King Akbar and Birbal had a quuarrel . Disturbed Birbal stormed out of the court room saying he will never ever return .

In the beginning  , Akbar didn't take it seriously thinking that Birbal will return when his temper gets cooled . But months passed , no sign of Birbal .

Now Akbar started worrying the Birbal . But how to search for him ? Akbar thought of a plan 

He declared that whoever answers his question correctly , he will be awarded 1000 gold coins .

The question was this, " A person must walk under the sun without umbrella , but at the same time he must be under the shade of something ."

Everyone who had heard the question said it is impossible to meet the condition . But one villager had come to the court . He had come to the court by walking under the scorching sun without umbrella but he was under the shade of a wired cot as he was carrying it over his head .

Akbar instantly came to know that only Birbal can think of such a solution . He interrogated the villager about who has helped him ? Villager said the truth that his neighbour had given the solution for the question . 

Akbar by now , was sure that the neighbour must be Birbal . He went to village by himself and reunited with his friend Birbal .

ಎಲೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಯಾವ ಎಲೆ ಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠ ?

 ಇದು ಶ್ರೀ ಕೃಷ್ಣ ಮಠದಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆದ ಉಪನ್ಯಾಸದಲ್ಲಿ ಕೇಳಿದ್ದು . ಬೇರೆ ಬೇರೆ ಎಲೆಗಳ ನಡುವೆ ತಮ್ಮಲ್ಲೇ ಯಾರು ಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠ ಎಂದು ವಾಗ್ವಾದ ನಡೆಯಿತು .

ಮೊದಲು ಬಾಳೆ ಎಲೆ ಮುಂದೆ ಬಂದು ಮಾತಾಡಿತು . ಅದು ತನ್ನ ಬಗ್ಗೆ     ಹೊಗಳಿ ಕ್ಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಾ ಅಂದಿತು " ನಾನೇ ಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠ . ಮನುಷ್ಯರು ಊಟ ಮಾಡಲು ನಾನು ಬೇಕೇ ಬೇಕು . "

ಇದನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿ ವೀ ಲ್ಯದ ಎಲೆಗೆ ಸಿಟ್ಟು ಬಂತು . ಅದು ಹೇಳಿತು " ನಿನ್ನದೇನು ಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠತೆ ? ಊಟ ಆದ  ಮೇಲೆ ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ತಿಪ್ಪೆಗೆ ಎಸೆಯುತ್ತಾರೆ . ಎಲೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ನಾನೇ ಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠ . ತಿಂದದ್ದು ಸರಿಯಾಗಿ ಜೀರ್ಣ ಆಗ ಲು ನಾನು ಬೇಕೇ ಬೇಕು . "

ಆಗ ಕರಿಬೇವಿನ ಎಲೆ ಹೇಳಿತು " ನಿನ್ನ ದೇನು ಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠತೆ ? ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ತಿಂದ ಮೇಲೆ ಎಲ್ಲರೂ ಬಾಯಿ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಕೆಂಪು ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡು ಎಲ್ಲೆಂದರಲ್ಲಿ ಉಗುಳುತ್ತಾ ಹೋಗುತ್ತಾರೆ . ನಾನೇ ಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠ. ಅಡಿಗೆಗೆ ಪರಿಮಳ ಬರುವುದು ನನ್ನಿಂದ . ನಾನು ಇಲ್ಲದೆ ಅಡಿಗೆ ರುಚಿ ಆಗುವುದಿಲ್ಲ . "

ಆಗ ಉಳಿದ ಎಲೆಗಳು ಕರಿಬೇವನ್ನು ಅಪಹಾಸ್ಯ ಮಾಡಿ ಹೇಳಿದವು " ನಿನ್ನ ದೇನೂ ಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠತೆ ಇಲ್ಲ . ಊಟ ಕ್ಕೆ ಪರಿಮಳ ಬರಬಹುದು . ಆದರೆ ಊಟ ದಲ್ಲಿ ನೀನು ಸಿಕ್ಕಿದ ಕೂಡಲೇ ಪಕ್ಕಕ್ಕೆ ಸರಿಸಿ ಇಡುತ್ತಾರೆ . "

ಆಗ ಅಷ್ಟು ಹೊತ್ತು ಸುಮ್ಮನೆ ಇದ್ದ ಒಂದು ಎಲೆ ಮಾತಾಡಿತು ." ನೀವೆಲ್ಲ ಅಹಂಕಾರದಲ್ಲಿ ನಾನೇ ಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠ ಎಂದು ವಾಗ್ವಾದ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಾ ಇದ್ದೀರಿ . ನಿಮ್ಮ ಬಾಳು ಕ್ಷಣಿಕ . ತಮ್ಮ ಕೆಲಸ ಕಾರ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾಡಲು ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಬಳಸುತ್ತಾರೆ . ಆಮೇಲೆ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಕಡೆ ತಿರುಗಿ ಯಾರೂ ನೋಡುವುದಿಲ್ಲ . ಆದರೆ ನಾನು ಹಾಗಲ್ಲ . ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಪವಿತ್ರ ಭಾವನೆ ಇಂದ ನೋಡುತ್ತಾರೆ . ದೇವರ ಕೋಣೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ನನಗೆ ವಿಶೇಷ ಸ್ಥಾನ ಇದೆ . ಆದರೆ ನಾನು ಮಾತ್ರ ಅಹಂಕಾರದಿಂದ ಮಾತಾಡುವುದಿಲ್ಲ . "

ಅದೇ ತುಳಸಿ ಎಲೆ .

Killing of Bhandasur by Goddess

Navaratri festival has begun . Today being the 5th day of Navaratri , I am writing about a demon named Bhandasur who was creating ruckus in the whole universe and finally got killed by Goddess Lalitambika .

Bhandasur was born out of the ashes of Kamadev . He performed different austerities to please God Shiva and was granted many boons such as whom so ever dared to fight with Bhandasur would forfeit his 50% of his own strength and masculinity to Bhandasur .

This made Bhandasur to win over each and every opponent of his ..He had become unruly and troublesome to whole universe . This made devas to plead for solution with goddess Durga .

 They were performing the rituals by lighting the fire . Bhandasur came to know of this and attacked the devas . Due to fear  , devas immolate  themselves in the fire .

Goddess Parvati came to know of this and took the form of Tripura Sundari . She came to the rescue of devas with her army . She was successful in killing 30 sons of Bhandasur .

Using Maha pashupatastra , Goddess killed Bhandasur . With the so obtained ashes , she again gave birth to Kamadev .

Clever thinking. !

In a village , there lived a family . It consisted of father and his 3 children . Father has looked after his children after the death of his wife . Now all the children have grown up . Father thought it is the right time to hand over his business to his children . But he wanted to give the responsibility to a wise one among his children . So he thought of a plan .....



He called all his children to meet him . As they gathered , father said to children " I am going to give all of you , 100 Rs each . You must buy something from this money such that it must cover the whole room of yours . "




Children agreed . First one went to nearby market with the money . But he could not find anything that can completely cover the room in just 100 Rs . Finally he could buy some fodder with the money . With that , he succeeded in covering the room .


Story of second one is no different . Not finding anything to buy within 100 Rs , he angrily covered the entire room with garbage !



But the third one , bought a lamp and some incense sticks . He kept them in his room .



It was becoming dark . Father wanted to know how his children performed in the test . He visited elder son's room . But room was filled with fodder . He ordered his son to clean the mess .



Now it is second son's room . Father was welcomed by hundreds of flies and mosquitoes before entering the room . Bad  foul smell was coming too . Father was very disappointed by seeing this . He asked his son to clean the garbage immediately .



Finally , he went to younger son's room . There he could not find anything . Surprised , he asked his son what did he do with the money? That time , younger son returned half of the money to his father .


Father was confused . Younger son went inside the room . He lightened the lamp as it was getting darker . Then he lightened the incense sticks also . Now light and nice smell covered the entire room .



Father decided younger son would be the heir to his business .

Who is the culprit ?

King Indraverma was hunting in the forest . He had come much deeper into the forest and he has lost any contacts with his companions .

Now he is very thirsty and hungry too . He was wandering around the forest in a hope of finding the water .


That time , he saw some water droplets falling down from a tree . He was very happy that finally he has found water to drink .


To collect the falling droplets , he made a bowl like structure using bamboo sticks with great difficulty . He was about to collect the falling water droplets , at the same time a parrot came and hit his hand with its beak . All the water droplets he has collected so for  , fell onto the ground .


King was very furious . He cursed the parrot for wasting his effort  . He again started to collect the falling water droplets .


When it was about to full , same parrot again came and hit him again on his hand . This time also , collected water droplets got grounded .


To add to his worries , the bowl like structure he had prepared was broken . King decided that now he will use his own hand to collect the water droplets and with the other hand he would kill that rogue parrot .


He was about to collect the falling water droplets with his own hand,  the parrot again came and tried to hit the king on his hand .


But this time  , king was very careful . He didn't let the bird to hit him instead he hit the bird very hard with his hand . Bird fell on the ground lifeless .


Now king is relieved that there is no one to stop him from drinking water . Now king lifted his head to see the source of water droplets .


He was aghast and speechless when he found out the source of water droplets . They were not simply water droplets . There was a big wounded king cobra on the branch of the tree . It was its saliva falling down as water droplets .



The parrot was trying to stop the king from drinking poisonous water like liquid . But the king mistakenly thought bird is troubling him . He killed the bird itself .



Now who is the real culprit ??

Bird who was troubling him not to drink the poisonous water or the king who killed the bird in a rage ???

Following the footsteps of Gandhiji

 Gandhiji always said " Be the change you want to see in others " . Instead of waiting for others to bring the change , we ourselves can be the change .

Just now I watched a video . In that , an elevator was about to go up . . It was already full to its maximum extent . At that time , a boy came running and entered the elevator .

That time , elevator display flashed the message " over load " .  Now it is the time for any of the people inside the elevator to get out . But everyone kept staring at each other's face as if the other person must leave .

Time passed . Elevator didn't move . It kept on flashing the message of overload . That time , a girl prepared to leave the elevator . All the people adjusted themselves so that they can make the way for her to go out .

But she was walking slowly . It didn't matter for them . All were happy that now the elevator will go up . The girl came outside the elevator . Elevator door was slowly closing .

That time they finally realised that  GIRL IS PHYSICALLY HANDICAPPED . SHE WAS WALKING WITH THE HELP OF ELBOW CRUTCHES .

It is the time for us to think .

What Gandhiji thought of equality

 Gandhiji always worked for those people whom society was calling as untouchables .

This incident is an example .

It was a cloudy night . Gandhiji had gone to market to buy some goods . But when returning , it has started to rain . Soon , it started to rain heavily .Gandhiji took shelter under a big tree . Like him , many were taking shelter under the tree . 

That time , a young man who was all wet , came near the tree .Though he was wet , he didn't come under the tree to take shelter . He kept standing in the rain . Gandhiji saw this and invited the young man to join them .

That time , other men who were standing with Gandhiji under the tree , started objecting Gandhiji . They said the young man should not join them as he is from low cast and they all should not mix with such untouchables. Gandhiji thought it is wrong and he wanted to change this mentality of people .

 But change has to be brought with himself . So he went and stood with young man in the rain . 

from low cast and they all consider him as untouchable person .

Gandhiji felt very bad . He thought it is not right to discriminate people . He wanted to change the mentality

To whom I ask for help ?

 This incident happened when Sri Ram was doing his vanavas .

One day when walking in the forest , Sri Ram accidentally stumbled on a squirrel . As Sri Ram is the almighty himself , he came to know what had happened .

Lovingly , he lifted the squirrel in his hand and asked " why didn't you shout for help ?" .

Squirrel replied , " You yourself are the almighty . People ask for your help when they are facing problems . But here you are the cause of the problem . So to whom I ask for help ?" .

I am greatly moved by the humbleness of squirrel .

ಪೌಂಡ್ರಕ , ಡುಪ್ಲಿಕೇಟ್ ಶ್ರೀಕೃಷ್ಣ

ಈ ಜಗತ್ತಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಒಬ್ಬರ  ಹಾಗೆ ೭ ಜನ ಇರುತ್ತಾರಂತೆ . ಮಹಾಭಾರತದ ಕಾಲದಲ್ಲೂ ಶ್ರೀಕೃಷ್ಣನ ಡುಪ್ಲಿಕೇಟ್ ಒಬ್ಬ ಇದ್ದನಂತೆ . ಅವನೇ ಪೌಂಡ್ರಕ .

ಅವನು ಪೌಂಡ್ರ ದೇಶದ ರಾಜ .  ಅವನು    ತನ್ನನ್ನು ತಾನೇ ಪೌಂಡ್ರಕ ವಾಸುದೇವ ಎಂದು ಕರೆದು ಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಿದ್ದ . ಇದಕ್ಕೆ ಸರಿಯಾಗಿ ಅವನ ಆಸ್ಥಾನದ ಜನರೂ ಆತನೇ ನಿಜವಾದ ಶ್ರೀಕೃಷ್ಣ ಎಂದು ಆತನನ್ನು ಹೊಗಳುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು .


ಇದರಿಂದ ಉಬ್ಬಿ ಹೋದ ಆತ ತಾನೇ ನಿಜವಾದ ಶ್ರೀಕೃಷ್ಣ ಎಂದೂ ಹಾಗೂ ಜನರು ತನ್ನನ್ನೇ ಪೂಜಿಸಬೇಕೆಂದು ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸುತ್ತಾನೆ .

What is dark net ?

 Nowadays all the news channels are airing the news of supply chain of drugs . First it was Bollywood means hindi film industry . Now even Kannada film industry is  also hit by the same phenomenon .

The drug peddlers were doing online transactions for the supply of drugs . They were using dark net or the dark web for this purpose . In dark net , most of the illegal activities takes place .

Dark web is the part of the internet world that isn't visible to search engines and requires the use of anonymizing browser called tor to be accessed .

Trump must win the US presidential election

Today on tv , I saw the news of Chinese intrusion attempt on Indian border . Everyone had to agree that if China is facing the backlash from the world , it is all because of Trump's firing words .


China is creating problems with all of its neighbour countries except Pakistan . Why China has become the friend of Pakistan is an open secret .


Nowadays , China is supporting Pakistan in every possible way . Pakistan is the hub of Islamic terrorism . Trump not only pointed it out but also stopped giving financial assistance to Pakistan .


No other US presidents dared to do that . Trump clearly understands the sinister plot of China . China is the origin of pandemic covid-19 disease . Everyone were aware of the fact but no one took the courage to speak it out .


But Trump did .  I really wish that Trump must win the US presidential election . He is a better choice compared to his opponent in worldly affairs .

Less known story about God Ganesh

Today is Ganesh Chaturthi . This is the day of birth of God Ganesh . God Ganesh is elephant headed God . This shows we Hindus worship animals as our Gods and always protect them .


All of us know story of severed head Ganesh . His father God Shiva had chopped off the head of God Ganesh for not letting him to enter the house.


But the story now I am writing states that God Shani is responsible for the detachment of normal head of God Ganesh . The story goes like this ....


Goddess Parvati was very unhappy that she is childless . To have a child  , she started to pray God Vishnu . Satisfied with her prayers , God Vishnu blessed her with a boy child .


We Hindus arrange a ceremony when it is time to put the new born baby into  the cradle . Same way , Goddess Parvati has also arranged a ceremony for the new born baby Ganesh . She invited all the Gods and Goddesses to attend the function .


Everyone had come except God Shani . We believe that just the small glance of God Shani will bring the bad luck in our life . That's why God Shani didn't attend the function .

But Goddess Parvati was very adamant . She succeeded to bring God Shani forcefully to attend the function . But as soon as God Shani took a glance of new born baby Ganesh , head of Ganesh got seperated from his body . Then God Vishnu attached the head of a dead elephant to body of God Ganesh .


That's why God Ganesh is also hailed as GAJAVADANA meaning elephant headed .

Why do cold objects emit vapour as hot objects do ?

Yesterday I was having my lunch . My father seved hot rice to my plate . Vapours were coming out from the hot rice . At the same time , he also brought out the buttermilk packet kept in the freezer . To my surprise , vapours were coming out from the cold buttermilk packet !


I was very curious about this .


When we place a hot object in the room temperature , the surrounding air gets hot . Now this hot air moves away from the object as it is lighter .

But when it moves away from object , it gets cooled down to room temperature . When it is cooling down , it will not be able to hold the vapour , it has absorbed , in it . So the vapour gets changed to water molecules and we see that mist coming out from hot object .


Similarly , when we keep the cold object in the room temperature , the atmospheric air gets cooled down . At that time , some of the water molecules in it gets condensed and forms white mist .



Thus , the reason for mist coming out from both hot and cold things are one and the same .

Fair judgement given by Prahlad

As Hiranyakashipu was killed by God Vishnu , his son Prahlad was crowned king . Though he is an asura , Prahlad was kind to everyone unlike his ancestors . He was famous for giving fair judgement .




One day 2 women entered his court quarelling over the possession of a new born baby . Both of them claimed that child is hers .






Prahlad thought his mother Kayadu could solve this possession problem . He sent the two women near his mother along with new born baby .




Kayadu asked the first lady to breastfeed the child . Without making any fuss , child started to drink milk . Halfway itself , Kayadu asked the second lady to breastfeed the child .



This time also , child started to drink the milk without making any fuss . Now even Kayadu got confused about who is the real mother .





Prahlad got to know all these . He said to the court that since it is still uncertain about who is the real mother , the baby should be cut into two pieces and each of the ladies should be given a piece .

Hearing that , first lady cried and agreed that child is not hers . Can be given to other lady but child must not be made half .



Second lady with a victorious smile , came forward to get the baby .



But Prahlad stopped the second lady and handed over the child to first lady saying she is the real mother . Only the real mother can not handle the news of her child getting punishment .

Without pain , no gain

Rahul is a school going boy . He is a topper in his class . Besides being studious , observing nature is one of his hobby . He likes to help who is in trouble .

It was a holiday for school . Rahul decided to take a stroll in his garden . When walking , he was very delighted by hearing the chirping of different birds .


Now he is having a look at the blossomed flowers . He skipped counting numbers when counting the different colours of flowers !


Oh... Oh...


Rahul just spotted a caterpillar which is covered in a cocoon . Rahul remembered that butterflies when they are grown up , try to come out of the cocoon which is around them when they are caterpillars .


Rahul with a great interest , started to watch what is going to happen next ? The caterpillar was struggling hard to come out of the cocoon .


It was kicking the cocoon hard by its legs  so that it can come out of it . By watching the caterpillar of its hardships , Rahul thought he has to help the caterpillar to come out of the cocoon .

Likewise , he gently cut the cocoon , keeping in mind not to hurt the caterpillar . Finally , caterpillar came out of the cocoon . But to Rahul's horror , it was having undeveloped legs and wings .


It is the nature's rule that a caterpillar  have to undergo all these hardships . Then only , its legs and wings get fully developed and caiterpillar will change into a beautiful butterfly .


Though Rahul was having the good intention of helping the caterpillar , it was strongly backfired . In nature's dictionary , there is no gain , without pain . 

Why some people have 6 fingers in their hand ?

Presence of 6th finger in hand or 6th toe in the feet is not uncommon . It can be on both the hands or on only one hand .

This condition is called hexadactyly .  The 6th finger or toe can be on different locations , on either sides of the extremity or somewhere in between .


When there is in the formation of fingers , this condition arises . An extra finger forms when a single finger splits . Medically this condition occurs without any apparent cause .


Hexadactyly itself can be absolutely harmless , easily remedied .

How did Prahlad became Vishnu bhakt though he is an asura ?

The rivalry between devas and asuras is very well known . Prahlad is the son of asura king Hiranyakashipu . Hiranyakashipu had developed so much hate against God Vishnu such that he had ordered his countrymen not to chant the name of Vishnu .




Then how come Prahlad being son of Hiranyakashipu was seen chanting the name of God Vishnu all the time ?





When mother of Prahlad , Kayadu was pregnant , her husband Hiranyakashipu had gone to perform tapas so that he can please God Brahma . At that time , king of devas  , Indra , tried to kill Prahlad before his birth . Because of this , sage Narada requested Kayadu to be in his hut till she delivers the baby .





When Kayadu was in his hut  , Narada used to tell stories about God Vishnu and how he is protecting the entire world . Only pregnant Kayadu didn't listened to the stories , Prahlad in his foetus form was also listening to the stories .



Thus Prahlad became Vishnu bhakt since childhood .

Death of Hiranyakashipu , king of demons

Hiranyakashipu was the king of demons or asuras . He was the hater of God Vishnu so much that he was calling himself as almighty and ordered people to follow the same .


He was torturing people who were worshipping God Vishnu . He wanted to conquer the heaven . He wanted to kill God Vishnu .


To achieve all these , he must have some extra powers than the others . That's why he started to pray God Brahma . When Brahma was in front of him and asked him to get the boons , he wanted to be immortal .


But God Brahma refused to give that boon , Hiranyakashipu changed the verse and asked the following boons .


1. He must not get killed neither in night nor in day .
2. He must not get killed neither inside the house nor in the outside .
3. He must not get killed neither on sky nor on earth .
4. He must not get killed neither be a God nor an angel nor an animal or human .
5. He must not get killed neither by a weapon nor with an arrow .


These were the boons he got and because of this  , he became invincible and continued to do evil works and torturing people .


It became necessary to kill him . But what about the boons he got ? That's why God Vishnu took Narasimha avatar and managed to kill him .


Here's how -----

1. God Vishnu killed Hiranyakashipu when it is dawn which is neither a day nor night .

2. God Vishnu killed Hiranyakashipu sitting on the threshold of house which is neither inside nor outside the house .

3. God Vishnu killed Hiranyakashipu on his lap which is neither the sky nor the ground .

4. God Vishnu killed Hiranyakashipu in the form of Narasimha which is half lion and half human . That is Narasimha .

5. God Vishnu killed Hiranyakashipu using his nails which is neither a weapon nor an arrow .

Why can't cats get down the tree by their own ?

Yesterday our neighbour's cat began to climb the tree . I was watching . It went up . Maybe it has seen small birds over there .

Till now , everything is good . After some time , it wanted to get down the tree . As the tree is little taller , it was scared to jump from the tree . I have seen cats jumping from not so high compounds .


Here story is different . Scared cat started shouting . Her owner came and put her down .




I found this very strange . If the cat can climb up the tree , it must not be a problem to get down the tree . Usually cats just jump to ground . They don't get down . But why ?


Cats are built for climbing . But not for getting down . If we observe the cat , their claws are curved and bent forward . This feature allows them to climb up holding things firmly for support .


But this feature will not be of any use when getting down . That's why either they just jump to ground or get stuck over there itself .

Me vs mosquitoes version 2.0

This article I am writing after the hardwork I have done for 4 consecutive days . I am not joking , I spent 4 sleepless nights !!


I had stopped trying ways of fooling mosquitoes so that they don't bite and suck my blood . But I had to do something about this .


Necessity is the mother of invention .

Finally , I have found a solution . I want to share this with all the people who are spending sleepless nights because of mosquito biting .



All you need is a blanket , a towel . That's all !!!!



Blanket I am not using to cover the whole body . That's very common . My method is innovative and it is the result of my investigation .




The blanket we are using is only to cover the half of the body . As I reside in a coastal area , we don't need any blanket as nights are quite warm here .




There is a reason behind half covering of body . Our body should be covered properly from neck to abdomen . That's all !!



Based on my research   , I have come to a conclusion that mosquitoes rarely bite on legs and feet . Mosquitoes always target our fingers  , hands , shoulders , neck and face .



So it is very important to cover with blanket till neck . Care to be taken so that no upper body part is visible out of blanket .



Now take the towel . Fold it to half by longitudinally . Cover the ears , cheeks  , chin and threshold properly . Beginning it may feel difficult but practice always makes man perfect !!!



Very important thing is we must not cover our nostrils .


We need to breathe that's why nostrils should be open . I tried this method . It is successful and I recommend this method to everyone .


Yesterday night I had followed the same method while sleeping . As soon as the lights are switched off , mosquito gang became active and they were on their duty of biting .


I was expecting this . Only my nostrils were open and rest all my upper body part was covered . Mosquito gang was nearing ......


Alas , there is no body part of me available for them . I could hear them buzzing here and there , discussing amongst themselves what to do next ?!


They were circling around my head , humming songs . They could not do anything .



FINALLY I WON THE BATTLE .

Caution fatigue

India is battling with covid -19 pandemic disease . The spread of disease has been increased significantly over past months .


I observed significant change in the behaviour of people before lockdown and after lockdown . When this pandemic entered India and Indian government declared lockdown , at that time people really were scared of their lives though the mortality rate was really low .


But now the people getting infection amount is more and also the death numbers, are increasing . But people are acting like they don't care for this pandemic . Though government is educating people about cleanliness and use of sanitizer and wearing mask , people seem to be not serious .


This change in the psychological condition of people is called cautious fatigue .



When lockdown was first announced , many people were charged with energy and motivation to flatten the curve . But now many months on  , prolonged stress , anxiety , isolation and disturbed routine has made the people drained .


People are getting more lax about social distancing . This is cautious fatigue .

Mosquitoes of my room are spying on me ....

I have a special sentiment for mosquitoes of my room . They are very unique . They are fond of my blood so much that they really don't care for any of the mosquito repellent I use to get rid of them ! Somehow they survive . Such a bond we share !!!


Now I am pretty sure that they have started spying on me . I specially noted down 2 instances where in my doubts were proved right .


1. Now it is monsoon season . Usually it is low temperature in the night . Usually I turn on the fan of my room in maximum speed that is level 5 .
     But as it is quite chill in the night , I turned on the fan in level 4 speed . The mosquitoes which were not present when fan was running on its maximum speed , are present now !!
     I have cross checked it by changing the speed of the fan to maximum again . As soon as the speed limit is changed , mosquitoes vanished instantaneously !! This is how they spy my movements .


2. The next incident prove how clever are the mosquitoes of my room . I was sleeping on bed in a particular position . Soon mosquito attack started . I thought for a moment . Got up . Changed my position . Now my legs were there where my head was there earlier . I thought mosquitoes will get confused and leave the place . But I was wrong . They soon found out where is my face and started biting .



Now I have surrendered myself and accepted my defeat . I believe

                  LIVE AND LET LIVE OTHERS .

Why do we get bad breath in the morning ?

Many of us get up in the morning with bad breath . It makes us to stay away from talking with people . I observed that we have bad breath only during night , that means when we sleep for a long time . But not in the morning . Why ?



Reason is very simple . When we sleep , our mouth dries out . That means our normal flow of saliva decreases . This is the exact time when the odour producing bacteria in the mouth , proliferate .

If we snore or breath through the mouth , the rate of drying out mouth is more than usual . Thus making it easy for the odour producing bacteria .


Some medications , smoking and allergies are also the other reasons for bad breath .


By brushing , flossing and also by rinsing our mouth with mouth wash , we can overcome this problem .

What makes the egg to stand straight on salt?

We all know eggs can not be made to stand straight  . This may be because of their elliptical shape . But yesterday I saw one video where the participants made the egg to stand straight !



Illustration is very simple . Sprinkle a little salt on a hard and flat surface . Now place the egg on salt . The egg will stand straight up !


Reason for this may be salt crystals are almost perfect cubes in structure and they form a sort of supporting base to the egg to stand straight .

Can the stopped escalator be used as stairs ?

We often see escalators in shopping malls or in airports . They are considered as moving stairs . Like one don't have to climb up the stairs to move up . In escalator , one should stand on a particular stair , and the stair itself starts moving upwards or downwards .


Now can a stopped escalator be used as stairs ?

It can be used but it is not advisable . Some people use it as stairs when it is working also . It requires thorough practice .



If the reason for the stoppage of escalator is unknown , using it as stairs can prove to be hazardous .

The escalator could roll away if the problem is due to mechanical failure .

ಮೊದಲಿಗೆ ಒಂದು ದಪ್ಪ ತಳದ ಪಾತ್ರೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕಾಯಿ ತುರಿ ಹಾಕಿ ಹುರಿಯಬೇಕು . ಆದರೆ ಕೆಂಪಗಾಗ ಲು ಬಿಡಬಾರದು . ನಂತರ ಇದಕ್ಕೆ ಬೆಲ್ಲವನ್ನು ಹಾಕಿ ಸರಿಯಾಗಿ ಮಿಶ್ರ ಮಾಡಬೇಕು .

ಮಿಶ್ರಣ ಮುದ್ದೆ ಆಗ ತೊಡಗಿದಾಗ ಏಲಕ್ಕಿ ಪುಡಿ ಸೇರಿಸಿ ಸರಿಯಾಗಿ ಮಿಶ್ರ ಮಾಡಬೇಕು .  ನಂತರ ಒಲೆಯಿಂದ ಕೆಳಗಿಳಿಸಿ ತಣಿಯಲು ಬಿಡಬೇಕು .


ಹದ ಬಿಸಿ ಇರು ವಾಗಲೇ ಕೈಗೆ ತುಪ್ಪ ಸವರಿ ಉಂಡೆ ಕಟ್ಟಬೇಕು.

Everyone is having a purpose to their life

It is a forest . There were all kinds of trees and plants . Out of them , there was a rose plant. A red rose was blossomed on the plant . It was looking very bright and lovely . All the trees of forest were attracted by the flower and congratulating the plant for the flower . Rose plant was very much proud now .


Nearby to the rose plant , there was a cactus tree . Rose plant was very much disturbed by the presence of cactus tree near of it . One day , rose plant was seen talking to another tree , complaining about the cactus tree . It was saying that cactus tree is the disgrace to their locality as it is full of thorns .


That time , tree replied that even rose plant is having thorns . So it must not complain about cactus tree . For that , rose plant replied that it is not having sharp thorns like cactus tree. Moreover the number of thorns are limited . Besides that , it is giving the beautiful rose flower which has now become the attraction of whole forest .


That time tree replied that everyone has a purpose to live . It advised rose plant not to underestimate the power of cactus tree . But rose plant ridiculed cactus tree of its appearance .


Time passed . Now there is a drought situation in the forest . There was no sign of rain . All the plants started to wither as there is no water . Rose plant has also started to wither .


But cactus tree was storing the water in its stem . Now it is feeding this stored water to thirsty birds . All the plants were withering but cactus tree was not having any problem as it don't have leaves . Thorns themselves are the modified leaves .

The proud rose plant died because of unavailability of water . But cactus tree could survive the difficult situation without any problem .



Moral : Don't judge anyone on their external appearance . Everyone has a purpose to live their lives .

Why we must not store onions and potatoes together ?

Yesterday my father has been to market and brought onions and potatoes . When storing those , mother separated them from each other and kept them separately in a vented place .


She has not kept them in fridge also like other vegetables  . I was surprised . I could not tolerate the injustice being done to potatoes and onions !!


I asked for the reason . My mother said if onions and potatoes kept together , potatoes will get spoilt fast .


I looked at onions . What is there in it which is responsible for this isolation ?


The reason for the isolation is moisture . Both of them emits moisture along with gases such as ethylene .


Ethylene makes them to ripe faster and moisture spoils them from inside . That's why they are always kept in fully vented place separately .

Why do black coloured clothes dry faster than the other colours ?

Honestly speaking I have not checked this fact . It is my own theory .


We know visual spectrum of light consists of 7 colours . Now why does a matter looks black ? It is only when it absorbs all the colours of visual spectrum . Meaning it attracts the light more than any other colours . That's why it looks black .


This is what the science says . From this , we can derive that  ,


If we are drying the clothes of all colours under natural sunlight I.e. the visual spectrum of light ; then black coloured clothes must dry faster than other coloured clothes as they attract more natural sunlight .


Similarly , white coloured clothes take more time to dry as they reflect the sunlight . That's why in test cricket match , players wear white coloured clothes as matches are of long duration .


These white coloured clothes keep them cooler during day long play .

Why do we need to brush twice a day ?

Dentists recommend to brush twice a day . Here's the reason .


Animals lick their wounds to get immunity against bacteria . Even our saliva has the power to fight against bacteria . But why do we get cavities in the teeth ? Why our saliva is not capable of killing the bacteria causing tooth decay ?


It's true . Our saliva fights against these bacteria in the beginning . But we go on eating . So there will be a creation of layer over the tooth .


This layer made of sugary coatings , helps in building up of bacteria over the tooth . But formation of layer don't allow our saliva to fight and kill those harmful bacteria . Thus cavities on teeth form .



It is advised to clean this layer or plaque for every 12 hours . Brushing the teeth twice a day is an easier way to get off this plaque . That's why we must brush twice a day .

Everything is pre-planned by God ...

This is a Hindu mythological story .


One day , God of death , Yama , came to meet God Vishnu . That time , his devotee , Garuda was standing in front of the door . By  watching Yama coming , Garuda expected something wrong is going to happen .


As Yama was entering the house , he saw a bird sitting on the branch of a tree . Garuda noticed the change of expression of yama's face .

 As Yama is the god of death and he had a look at the bird , Garuda , suspected that the bird is going to die soon .


Garuda wanted to save the life of the bird . So as soon as Yama entered the house , Garuda , quickly evacuated the bird to a place which is 1000 miles away . Garuda stood at his original position as before like nothing has happened .


Yama came out from the house . As he neared the tree , he searched for the bird . But bird was not there . By seeing that , Yama smiled to himself .


Garuda was angry . He said to Yama , you can't catch the bird . It is in safe place 1000 miles away .


Yama said , that's why I was puzzled . Because it is in its destiny that it is going to meet it's death from a place which is 1000 miles away . But it was still here . I questioned God Vishnu about the same . He said to have a look at tree when leaving .



Garuda was speechless . Unknowingly he was the part of the act played by God . Now he understood whatever is happening , it is all pre planned by God .

Why is internet slow at day and faster at night

I think everyone of us knows the answer for this .Answer is traffic .

Imagine we are driving a vehicle in the peak hours of a day . We find many people like us driving in a hurry to reach their destination soon .

What would happen at this time ? No one would be able to reach their destination soon . That time we say that we got stuck in the traffic .


Same thing applies to internet also . The internet connection we are using , we are sharing it with dozens of others .


Now if our area is having a lot of wireless networks , then during peak hours , everyone will be using the internet connection at the same time .


Now this makes each and every connection to go slow . But during night time , most of the people would not be online . So at that time  , traffic would be less  and we feel that our internet connection is faster .

Don't underestimate anyone

There was a colony of ants in the garden .  It consisted of many ants who were strong and really hardworking . But that colony also included a small and weak ant . He was not able to do the things which other normal ants were doing .

Everyone was making fun of him . Now even the small ant had  begun to think that he is not good for anything and he is useless .

That day , a raging bull stormed inside the garden . It started to destroy everything which comes in its way . The farmer of the garden has grown many vegetable plants and also flower plants . Farmer was in tears on seeing the destruction of his garden by the raged bull , he didn't know how to stop the bull .


That time , this small and weak ant who is thinking himself as useless , came near farmer and said him that he will go and fight with the bull .

Farmer had no choice than agreeing . This small ant went near resting bull . Somehow he managed to climb up the body of bull and went inside the ear of bull . After locating the sensitive part of ear , he bit hard onto that part .

 The sleeping bull was now suddenly woken up . Unable to handle the pain inside the ear , he left the garden and rushed insearch of the water pond .


The story of small ant and the way he defeated the bull was applauded by many . Now no one passes comments on small ant . Now he is the hero of his ant colony .


Moral : Don't underestimate anyone on their external looks .

Marketing skill using religious beliefs

It is the final day of management studies course . The teacher came with an unique idea to check marketing skill of students .

The plan is students must go to a Buddhist monastery and sell combs as many as possible to monks . Everyone was puzzled by the idea . What is the use of combs to a monk who don't have hairs on his head !? But the target is given .

3 students agreed to take the challenge . Now all of them have returned . Everyone was curious to know how they accomplished it ?

First student said he was able to sell 2-4 combs . The trick he used was combs can also be used to scratch the back too , not only to comb hair!!!

Second student said he was able to sell 20-25 combs . The trick he used was the pilgrims who come to visit the monastery would be tired after traveling . At that time gifting the combs when they are getting fresh , will be an attraction .

The third student came forward and said he was able to sell 50-100 combs . Everyone was surprised , how did he do it ? He explained Instead of just giving plain combs to tourists , if we write a few lines from holy book , on them , pilgrims will always read them whenever they use the comb . They will try to follow them ". These words did the magic and he could reach his given target .

Similarities between Ramayana and Mahabharata

Ramayana and Mahabharata are the two great epics of our country India and also of Hinduism . All of us know the story of these two great epics .

Ramayana and Mahabharata serials are being re -telecast on television . I thought it is the right time to write this blog article .


In short , Ramayana is the story of ideal couple Sri Ram and Seeta Maata . The bad man , Raavan had kidnapped Sita Maata as he got lured by her beauty when they were staying in forest .

After kidnapping Sita , Raavan kept her as captive in Lanka . Raavan had 2 brothers by the name Kumbhakarna and Vibhishana . Both of them had opposed the action of Raavan of kidnapping Sita . To protest , Vibhishan joined Sri Ram's party . But Kumbhakarna even though he didn't agree with Raavan's work , he stayed with Raavan , opposing him till the end .


Similarly , in Mahabharata Kouravas under the leadership of Duryodhan didn't agree to give Pandavas , their share of land . They made Pandavas to lose everything in a cheat game . Pandavas had lost their wife , Draupadi to Kouravas . Kouravas went to worst extent of snatching worn clothes of Draupadi .


But Duryodhan had two brothers namely Yuyutsu and Vikarna . Though they were kouravas , they had opposed Duryodhan of his bad action . Vikarna had opposed Duryodhan at that time itself when he decided to do Draupadi Vastrapaharan .


But later , Yuyutsu had joined Pandavas party in the Mahabharata war . But Vikarna stayed with Duryodhan till the end opposing his bad works . Bhima was in tears when Vikarna died in the war .


Similarities :

Both Kumbhakarna and Vikarna opposed the bad action of their brother . But they didn't switch the sides . Whereas Vibhishana and Yuyutsu had opposed the bad action and also joined the rival party .

All of them had taken the steps according to their conscience . They are still remembered as they have raised their voice against injustice .

Why there are no hairs on palm ?

This is not an article on the scientific reason behind why there are no hairs on palm ? 

This question was asked by King Akbar to his favourite minister Birbal . Once both of them were sitting on royal garden , chatting with each other . Then suddenly , Akbar got this doubt and he wanted to know Birbal's answer for this .


Birbal thought for a moment , and said " you always help the needy people . You always donate . That's why there is no time for hair to grow up on your palm " .


Akbar was very happy by hearing his praising . But he wanted to quizz Birbal more . Again he asked " Even you don't have hairs on your palm . What is the reason behind that ?"


Birbal said , " I receive prizes from you more often . Hence there is no time for the hair to grow up on my palm ! " .


Akbar was very pleased with the witty answer . Then he asked " Why there are no hairs on other couriers' palm ? "


Birbal replied " By always watching me getting prizes from you , they get envious and jealous . They start rubbing their palms . That's why there are no hairs on their palms too !" .


Akbar could not control his laughter after hearing the reply . 

Don't nurture bad habits.....

Nowadays , we see lots of youths becoming addicts of bad habits . They think by practicing the repetitive use of drugs or smoking or drinking or chewing tobacco makes them to look cool infront of their friends . But the habit is actually injurious to health and eventually leads to death .


Here is the story of a young man who also wanted to be cool dude in the eyes of his friends . But it ended in a tragedy.


Rahul always wanted to do something different from others . The option he has chosen is to keep a pet . Sounds pretty safe right ? But as I said he wants to do things differently from others . So he decided to adopt a poisonous snake as his pet .


Many people opposed his decision . But Rahul was adamant . He didn't listen to anyone . He adopted a poisonous snake and started nurturing it with love and care .


Everything was going good . Rahul was thinking that he has broken the jinx of the society that snakes can not be looked after as a pet .


Once , Rahul had to go to other city for some work . That too  for one week ! Rahul was restless about his pet . He requested many of his friends to look after his pet in his absence .


But no one was ready . Rahul thought he will complete his work as soon as possible and will come back near his pet early .


With a heavy heart , he left the house . But he was lucky enough that he could complete his work in just 3 days ! He came running near his pet . His pet was sleeping . He touched the body of his pet affectionately .......



But his pet that is the poisonous snake was very hungry as it didn't eat since 3 days . It was waiting for some prey so that it can feed on that .


As soon as Rahul touched its body , it has bitten Rahul's hand with such a force that Rahul was poisoned and died instantly .

MORAL : Bad habits are like poisonous snake . If we nurture them , it will surely result in our death . Say no to bad habits .

Number of crows in the city

Once Akbar and Birbal were talking a stroll on the streets of their city . Akbar saw a group of crows ( they are called murder ) and asked Birbal that he would like to know the number of crows in the city .


Birbal without blinking his eye , said that there are 4,374 crows in the city . Akbar was very much surprised , how can Birbal be so confident that is the exact number of crows in the city without even counting ??


He raised his doubt with Birbal saying what if there are more crows than the number said by Birbal ?

Birbal replied with a cool tone , " If the number is more , then crows of neighbouring place have come to visit their relatives . If the number is less , then our city crows have gone to neighbouring place to visit their relatives !!! ".

After getting this reply , Akbar didn't dare to ask such foolish questions .

Why white bed sheets are used in hotels ?

I always thought , white bed sheets are the easiest ones to get stained . But  in most of the hotels , they have white bed sheets , towels etc . Why ?


1. White coloured sheets assure the guests that they are fresh and clean . They also give the impression of luxury in a hotel .

2. White coloured sheets overall gives a best experience of better sleep and good perception about the hotel .


3 . White coloured sheets can be mixed with any other dirty laundry without the fear of colour bleeding . It is easier to wash them all together .

YouTube videos and hindi films of nowadays

I used to pass the time by watching hindi films few years back . Slowly I started to feel I can't sit and watch for 3 hours continuously .


Then I switched over to t.v. .I am not a fan of extra long serials . I only watch music channels to entertain myself . But nowadays the content that is coming on t.v. is just full of vulgarity .


The video is full of vulgarity , not the audio . They are perfect stress busters . So I switched to listening to web radio . Atlast , I found something which will not irritate my mind .



I am still listening to web radio . But now I am a fan of YouTube videos . Most of them are comedy videos but there are romantic videos too . Trust me , they are far better than hindi films .


Recently I watched videos of Harsh Beniwal , Swagger Sharma . Both were too good . They made my day . My mother keeps an eye on what I watch on YouTube . I don't use Facebook , Twitter or instagram .


I am posting already saved blog articles . After that I will stop using blogger too . Only 4 people read my blog article . Out of them 2 are my own brother and uncle . Since 10 years I am writing .


Everything has to end one day .

Mouse and mouse trap

Long ago , in the house of a farmer there lived a mouse . Farmer had pigeon  , hen and sheep as pets too . Mouse was friendly with all of them.

One day farmer arranged a mouse trap for the mouse. Mouse was very scared about his life. He shared his feeling with all of his friends.

Instead of telling the word of courage , all of his friends just shooed away him. They didn't take his words seriously. Mouse thought if they face threat to their own lives  , then they will realise my feeling .

Mouse was spending days in the fear of his life. But he was not caught by farmer still .

One day , wife of farmer fell ill . Doctor advised farmer to apply blood of a pigeon as cure . So he had to kill the pigeon. Then he had to kill the hen for the dinner of his friends and relatives.

As his wife got cured , he sacrificed sheep to goddess as gratitude . Still mouse is roaming around in the house . But the animals who didn't pay attention to the fear of death of mouse , all of them ended their lives .

Why do we use a piece of lemon with luke warm water in a finger bowl ?

I have seen in the restaurants , after they serve the meal , at the end they bring a bowl of luke warm water with a piece of lemon floating on it .


I have not seen this type of custom till date . I didn't know what to do with it ? I was feeling embarrassed . Then my father explained that we are supposed to dip our finger tips in the water .


Then when to use the lemon ? I thought we must squeeze the lemon in the water and then dip our finger tips in the water .


My father said I must not do anything like that . We have to just rub the lemon onto our finger tips . Lemon has anti bacterial and germicidal properties .


It frees the hands from unseen bacteria . It is also highly acidic in nature . It helps to remove the layer of oil from our hands .

Remixing old hindi hit songs

It has become trend nowadays in hindi movies . Remixing old hindi hit songs in their pictures is very common now . What is worst is film music directors are taking first two lines of old hindi hit songs and they remix it . Then what about rest of the song ?



The lyrics of those lines are not taken up from the old movies . That is something different , I can say ORIGINAL !!


Hindi movie songs of nowadays are full of Punjabi songs . It has become a rule that there should be atleast one Punjabi song , it is compulsory !!



My playlist in my home computer is full of such Punjabi songs . Out of them I personally like the song incomplete from the movie street dancer .




After listening to the remixed version , I downloaded the original one too . But I liked the remixed version than the original one .




That day is nearer where they will start remixing the remixed version of a song . Who cares about originality ?!

Why we worship God Shiva by offering bilva leaves ?

Today is Maha Shivaratri . We worship God Shiva on this day . We offer bilva leaves while praying . But why only the bilva leaves ?


Once a hunter had gone deep into the forest chasing an animal . Suddenly he heard the growl of a tiger nearby . Fearing the attack of tiger , he climbed up a tree nearby . Tiger stood under the tree waiting for him to get down .


So he had to spend the whole night on the tree . To keep him awake through out  the night , he started plucking the leaves of the tree one by one and throwing it down . But he was unaware that there was a shivling under the tree and the bilva leaves he was thrown pdown , were directly coming down on shivling !!


God Shiva was pleased with the offering made by hunter unknowingly and blessed him with health and wealth . Offering bilva leaves to God Shiva on Shiva ratri is believed to be dearer to God Shiva .

Why do we sit while performing havan?

This is my own thinking . I observed that whenever we are performing havan or homa  , we sit in front of fire . I observed that when the fire is lit , the people who are standing begin to feel hot and sometimes cough too . But not the people who sit near the fire . Why it is so?



According to Hindu tradition , we always perform havan , sitting on ground near the fire . But there is a scientific explanation for this .


We know when we lit a fire  , we get smoke . Now this smoke is hot and lighter than oxygen filled surrounding air . So , obviously the smoke rises upward towards the ceiling .



That means , the air at the ground level is still cool . Cool air is always heavy and settles down at the ground level . So people who are performing the havan are in a cool and oxygen filled air level .


When we performed house warming ceremony of our new house  , I observed that the ventilators of house are blackened . But not the walls .


This clarifies my argument on smoke as it is lighter than normal air . It tried to escape through the ventilators  as it has gone upward .


Based on same logic  , our ancestors made it a custom to sit when performing havan .

Power of mind .........

Once there lived a couple. They were happily married and made for each other.

But wife has fallen ill and no treatment was fruitful.  Now she is in her death bed. As a loving wife , she took a promise from her husband that after her death  , he will not remarry . If he did , she threatened that she will torture him as a ghost .





Husband agreed. Soon she passed away . Circumstances are such that he had to remarry . But his dead wife started giving trouble . He couldn't sleep during night . His life was miserable.



He went near a psychologist . Psychologist offered him help saying that if he can make the things clear to GHOST , she would understand and stop giving trouble .


Likewise he did . GHOST understood the plight of husband and stopped giving trouble.


Then psychologist explained . Husband's guilty conscious that he cheated his dead wife is the reason for trouble . When he explained his situation to GHOST which was in his mind, everything got solved immediately . This is the Power of mind.

No batsman from India scoring .....

Today is the second ODI of India and New Zealand . New Zealand batted first and scored 273 . I was watching the telecast . Seeing Guptill scoring boundaries per over made me uncomfortable .


Bumrah went wicket less . Guptill was punishing Bumrah very badly like he is Guptill's enemy . I felt very bad for Bumrah .


Bumrah could not cast his magic this time .

Situation is very tight . India has already lost 4 wickets for just 84 runs . All the star batsmen are back in pavilion . India need 189  runs from 186 balls. Better to stop expecting miracle .

New Zealand are out of T20 losing jinx

Today is the day of first ODI between India and New Zealand . New Zealand had lost all the T20 matches of the series to India .


But now they are out of that losing jinx . Today's match was a high scoring match as India batted first and gave the target of 348 to New Zealand .


Indian batsmen were scoring well as it is evident from the high score target . But Indian bowling and fielding are not as usual . I felt like that by watching ,Bumra  bowling wide balls unnecessarily .


New Zealand are now leading the series by  1 - 0.

Nervous New Zealand are the new chokers of cricket

Today is the day of final T20 cricket match between India and New Zealand . Though India has already won the series of 5 matches by 3 - 0 , I thought I would watch the chasing part of this match .


India won the toss and elected to bat first . They put the target of 163 . New Zealand started well . I thought they will try to win in this match .


It was proving right . Ross Taylor and the other batsman were going strong . The example for that is Indian bowler Shivam Dube's over .


He bowled only one over . But he gave away 30 + runs in that over itself !!! They had hit huge sixes . This time I thought New Zealand is going to win this match .


But after that , it was a dramatic collapse of
New Zealand . As long as Ross Taylor was there on the crease , there was a little hope of winning for New Zealand .


But nothing worked out for them . They have lost this match too . They seemed nervous as wickets went on falling . 

Sublimation

I have witnessed the phenomenon of sublimation . Most of us have too . But I was not knowing that it is called sublimation .

What is sublimation ?

Sublimation is a process in which a solid directly gets converted into vapour . Meaning conversation from solid state to vapour state .

There are 3 types of objects . They can be in solid state like ice . They can be in liquid state like water . They can be in gaseous state like steam .


The examples given above are the 3 stages wherein the water gets converted from solid state to gaseous state . Getting converted from liquid to gaseous state is called vaporization . Whereas getting converted from solid state to gaseous state is sublimation . 


Day to day life examples 


I can think of two examples of sublimation in our daily life .

Camphor and naphthalene balls

I have seen the camphor used in daily pooja by my father . One thing I have to clarify . Sublimation is not a instantaneous process . A solid won't get converted into vapour form suddenly.  It slowly gets shrinked or becomes smaller . Then finally gone .


Same thing applies to naphthalene balls too . My mother keeps these balls under and in between her sarees . They gets sublimated slowly . Finally they are gone .

Series win for India in super over

Today is the day of 3rd T20 cricket match in 5 match series against New Zealand . India was already leading the series by 2 - 0 .


It was the do or die match for New Zealand to keep the series alive . They had to win this match . They did their best . They restricted India to 179 runs .


New Zealand were able to score the same amount of runs in their chase !!!! The match got tied .


The match went for a super over . New Zealand batted first and scored 17 runs in 6 balls . Now India has to score 18 runs in 6 balls to win in the super over . And to win the match .


It was Rohit Sharma who went on to hit 2 consecutive 6 s in the last 2 balls . Thus declaring the win . This effort requires lots of mental strength . It also proves that winning in super over is not a cup of tea for New Zealand .

It is India's day in match against New Zealand

Today is the day of 2nd T20 cricket match between India and New Zealand .
India had already won the first match of this 5 match series . In the first match , batsmen of both the sides shined . It was the match of big total .


But today's match was a low score match . As I said earlier  , it is the day of Indian side . When India started to bowl , New Zealand batsmen were so scared that it had lost its first 4 wickets in the first 30 minutes !!!


New Zealand batsmen had posted a score of 135 runs . Though India has lost Rohit Sharma early  , it was the duo of Rahul and Shreyas Aiyyer who confirmed the winning of India by scoring 4s and 6s .

Why the bottom of the cooking vessels gets blackened when placed over a gas stove?

I have seen in kitchen this phenomena . Some of the cooking vessels have got blackened bottom . I tried to scratch it also .



It happens when fuel gasses of gas cylinder we are using , do not completely undergo combustion . Hence it forms a sooty carbon form which gets coated over the vessel .


Reason may be the blockage of fuel pipe .

Today India and Australia first one day cricket match is being played . Australia has restricted India to just 255 runs that too all out .


Australia is playing their innings and already have reached 166 runs without losing any wickets .



India had a good start but suddenly there was a collapse in the middle order . Australia is going to win the game and will teach India to how to bat .



This defeat is going to be the most humiliating defeat ever .

Shardul Thakur's blitzkrieg lead India past 200

Today is the series last match between India and Sri Lanka .


It is the 3 T20 match series between India and Sri Lanka. India is already leading series by 1 - 0 .


India have finished their batting quota . They have scored 201/6 in 20 overs . This is all because of the batting blitzkrieg by Shardul Thakur .

The 6 and 4 by him in the final over lead India past 200 runs . He had done the same style batting against West Indies too . India had won the game .


Scoring a six and a boundary in the last stages of match is not so easy . Shardul Thakur will be the asset to indian cricket team in coming days .


Anyway required run rate is already 10.1 for Sri Lanka . They will be under pressure for sure now . Have to wait to know the margin by which they will lose this game .

Keep quiet !

Once upon a time , there was an innocent person living in a village . One day he

 went to temple and began to think God all day long seen standing in the

 temple . He must have got tired !







God listened to his words and said if you want to help me , just stand like

 me in this place . But remember , you don't have to talk with anyone .

 Just be quiet ! 

Innocent person agreed and stood like God . Soon a wealthy man came and

 offered crores of rupees to God . In the meantime , he forgot that his purse with

 money fell down on ground .

He left . Then a poor man came. He saw the purse with money , thanked God for

 helping him in his difficult times and went out with the purse .

Then came a sailor . When he was praying , rich man came with police and asked

 them to arrest the sailor as he stole purse of rich man . Innocent person was

 seeing all these .

He couldn't stand and be quiet by seeing all these drama . Finally he spoke that

 sailor has not stolen purse . Instead a poor man picked up the purse which was

 fallen down on ground .

Thinking that God himself has said the truth , everyone left the place . Now God

 said to innocent man what you have done ! It does't matter for the rich

 man to loose the money . But poor man needed it . And the sailor .... he

 was supposed to meet with an accident , thats why I planned to keep

 him in the jail.

By listening to this , innocent man realised what mistake he has done .

Hardik Pandya got engaged .....

I am a huge fan of Hardik Pandya . The main reason for my affection towards him is that he is an all rounder . Indian team has seen many all rounders . All rounder is the one who can bat as well as can bowl .


Indian cricket team is having all rounders who are mainly spin bowlers . Hardik Pandya is the one who is a semi fast bowler who can also bat .


He has won the man of the match prize once for his match winning performance that too in overseas . I believe it is a rare quality of an all rounder to shine in foreign pitches .


But he had injured himself and is out of cricket game . I have stopped watching cricket matches because of his absence in the team .

Now Hardik Pandya got engaged to a foreign girl o  new year eve . I am kind of heart broken .

Why do we hear a buzzing sound from switched on tubelights ?

I have a tubelight in my house . Whenever I switched on it , it starts producing a huge sound . If the surrounding area is quite , its volume is so high that I am not able to hear the sound of tv also !


I decided to do some research on the topic .


There are 2 sources of noise in a tubelight .

1 . Choke
2. Tube holder


Choke is on the center of tube light . What we see a rectangular structure at the centre of the tube light is known as the choke .


Choke is used to reduce the current flow to the tube . Current is generally controlled by using an inductor coil or a transformer .


When the choke is used for many days , the transformer inside it gets faulty . It starts to lose its magnetostriction effect in its core , hence producing a buzzing sound .



If we use an electrical choke , we can minimize the sound .



2 . Tube holder ----  Tube holder is the place where the choke is placed . It is usually made of ferrous material . When leakage magnetic field of choke acts on it ,  certain parts of it gets magnetized thus creating the mechanical stress . This stress produces buzzing sound .
