Honestly speaking I have not checked this fact . It is my own theory .
We know visual spectrum of light consists of 7 colours . Now why does a matter looks black ? It is only when it absorbs all the colours of visual spectrum . Meaning it attracts the light more than any other colours . That's why it looks black .
This is what the science says . From this , we can derive that ,
If we are drying the clothes of all colours under natural sunlight I.e. the visual spectrum of light ; then black coloured clothes must dry faster than other coloured clothes as they attract more natural sunlight .
Similarly , white coloured clothes take more time to dry as they reflect the sunlight . That's why in test cricket match , players wear white coloured clothes as matches are of long duration .
These white coloured clothes keep them cooler during day long play .
