We, humans make wax for these reasons -------
1. Sticky wax traps tiny particles, pollution and dead skin before they get deeper into ear canal.
2. Wax is slightly oily and hydrophobic. Because of this, water doesn't just slide straight to our eardrum when we are taking shower or swimming.
3. Earwax has acidic compounds and enzymes that kill bacteria and fungi.
4. The skin in ear canal is thin and would get dry, itchy and can get cracked. Ear wax keeps it moisturized.
5. Ear wax self cleans inside ear.
