Bee Goddess - Bhramari Devi

                                    Bee Goddess - Bhramari Devi

According to Hindu mythology, once there lived a demon named Aruna. He wanted to establish his kingdom by driving out all the devas.
For this reason, he did hard meditation and got the boon that he will not be killed by any creature which has 2 legs or 4 legs. That means he can not be defeated by any human , deva , other demon or any other animal , having 4 legs.
This made him almost invincible. He invaded heaven. By seeing him, all the devas fled fearing for their life , leaving behind their wives and children in heaven.
Aruna in rage ordered his army to bring out all the women and children who are present in heaven. Army brought all of them infront of him.
Fearing for their life, wives of devas prayed to goddess Adi Parashakti. Adi Parashakti had known about boon that Aruna had got.
She had taken the form of bee , which has 6 legs. From that she is not contradicting the vows of boon. She had come with swarm of bees.
All of bees attacked the demon army and goddess herself stung the demon , Aruna to his death. From that time, she was called Bhramari Devi / Bhramarambika ( Bhramara means bee in Sanskrit ) . Thus , she saved the world from the clutches of demon.
