In Ganesh ashtottara shatanamaavali, it is referred God Ganesh as dvaimaturaya.
It is a Samskrit word meaning having 2 mothers.
We all know that Goddess Parvati as mother of Ganesh. Now who is the other mother?
According to Padma Purana,
Once while playing, Goddess Parvati prepared a doll and gave it the shape of elephant head.
Then she threw that doll to river Ganga.
That doll grew in size and came to life.
Now both Parvati and Ganga called him as SON.
Hence God Ganesh is also called as Gangeya ( son of Ganga).
Hence God Ganesh is also called dvaimaturaya ( having 2 mothers ).
