We all have seen how Indian astronaut Shubhanshu Shukla returned from space mission by splashing down on California bay.
Splashdown during the re-entry of astronauts from space is the obvious choice for gentle return to Earth.
There are 2 types of landings : splashdown ( on water ) and terrestrial landing ( on solid land ).
What ultimately drives the decision between water and land landings ??
While water landings are common in the case of USA, countries like Russia and China rely on ground landing for their manned space mission,
Choice between land and sea landing is made based on ----
1. Spacecraft's design
2. Capabilities
3. Recovery infrastructure available
41 years qgo, first Indian astronaut Rakesh Sharma landed in Kazakhstan after his mission to Soviet space station.
Water landing,.minimize risk. It ensures the debris from spacecraft's trunk falls into vast and unpopulated ocean.
Land landing require controlled zones to manage debris which can be unpredictable.
Landing on Earth often involve harsher impact because of microgravity.

Question
Fall of Berlin wall results in what ??
1. End of world war 1
2. End of world war 2
3. End of cold war
4. End of Vietnam war
Answer
When I read Berlin wall, I thought it happened recently.
May be at the end of world war 2 ???
I knew it is definitely not Vietnam war !!!!
Cold war as for as I know it happened between USA and Russia.
Both the countries were competing with each other to prove who is best amongst them.
What connection is fall of Berlin wall with cold war ???
I had decided fall of Berlin wall must lead to the end of world war 2 !!!
But I was wrong ( as usual )
The fall of Berlin wall lead to the end of cold war !!!!
This cold war was not the cold war I thought of.
It was the cold war between East Germany and West Germany .
Though these two sides didn't fight in battle field, they had separated the people by building a wall.
This wall is known as Berlin wall.
But Berlin wall was uprooted and the Germany what now we see has emerged.
Fall of Berlin wall signifies the end of cold war between West Germany and East Germany !!!

Question
7 men have 7 wives. Each man and wife have 7 children. What's the total number of people ??
Answer
Let's calculate
7 men + 7 wives = 14 adults
Each of the 7 couple has 7 children.
7 couple * 7 children /couple = 49 children
Total number of people = number of adults + number of children
==>> 14 + 49 = 63 people

We all have seen Indian astronaut Shubhanshu Shukla interacting with students from space.
Space has no network or mobile towers like Earth. Then what made this conversation possible ??
Unlike Earth, space lacks air needed for sound waves to travel. This makes traditional voice communication impossible.
Sound is a mechanical wave that requires a medium like air or water. Space is a vacuum.
Astronauts use RADIO WAVES, which is a type of electromagnetic radiation that does not require air to travel.
Microphones and transmitters on astronauts' helmet convert speech into radio signals.
These signals are then transmitted to Earth via the satellite relays and antennas.
These signals are then converted back to audio signal at ground station.
Hence, conversation was possible !!!!

Bats are the only living creatures who can fly but not considered as birds.
They directly give birth and breast feed too just like mammals but not considered one among land animals.
Once there was a huge fight between land animals and birds.
Bats didn't take any sides.
But when birds were about to become victorious, bats were taking side of birds as they can fly.
When land animals mainly mammals were about to become victorious, bats were taking side of animals as bats are also mammals.
This dual mentality of bats had gone unnoticed for some time.
But soon both animals and birds came to know of the dirty game being played by bats.
As a result, both animals and bats banned bats from their respective groups.
Unable to show their faces as bats have cheated both animals and birds,
Bats preferred to come out at night when other birds and animals return to their homes.

Jaisalmer,, a city in the state of Rajasthan is known as golden city of India.
Why do it is called golden city ??
The name Golden city refers to how the city looks.
Yellow sandstone is used in construction of every building and monument in the city.
When the Sun shines on the structures of the city, they light up and create a complete golden effect all over the city.
The buildings blend beautifully with the surrounding Thar desert.
Sandstone not only ensures the buildings remain cool in the sweltering heat of the desert during day time and also moderately warm at the night.
Yellow sandstone highlights Jaisalmer's historically rich and proud heritage.
