Only airport where a train crosses the runway

At most airports, planes have runway all to themselves.

But in New Zealand's Gisborne airport,  trains and aircrafts take turns using the same runway  !!!!

The airport runway is intercepted by railway line, which divides the main runway nearly in half.

Trains and planes must give way to each other !!!

If a train is passing through, aircraft must weight and vice versa.

Interestingly,  airport controls the railway signals and also the aircraft signals  !!!!

Coordinating flight and train schedules without overlap is a daily challenge for airport staff.
