  Coconuts are water proof because they have 3 natural layers that block water .

1.  Hairy husk

                        Spongy  +   full of hair 

                         Water can't soak through fast and it helps the coconut to float.

2.  Hard shell

                      Like a sealed wooden box. No holes for water to get in.

3. Tight skin inside 

                       Pressed against white meat. Keeps the coconut water sealed in.

Nature has made coconut water proof.  So that coconut can float in ocean for months  !!!
