Once Mulla Naseeruddin and his friend were sitting and talking on the riverside .
That time , friend observed a man getting drowned in the flowing river water .
Friend ran towards him to offer help . Stretching his hand , friend asked the drowning man to give his hand to him .
But the drowning man , in that emergency condition too , ignored what the friend had said . Friend repeatedly offered the help by asking the man to give his hand to him . But the man kept on ignoring the words
Naseeruddin was watching all of this . Finally he stood up and went near the drowning man and asked him what is his profession ? Man said he is a tax collector .
Hearing that , Naseeruddin offered him help by asking him to TAKE HIS HAND .
Instantly man obeyed and all the 3 are safely on the river bank . Friend was confused by knowing that why the man has refused his offer to help but accepted Naseeruddin's help .
Naseeruddin said , " He is a tax collector by profession . He knows just to take things , not to give !!!! ".
