Yesterday during the victory parade of RCB, stampede occurred and 11 people were dead.
These people were RCB fans and had come to visit their heroes in person.

In many stampedes deaths occur due to a phenomenon called BLACK HOLE EFFECT.
When people are moving in a tightly packed crowd, contact between their bodies causes physical forces to be transmitted from one individual to another.
These forces add up and create unpredictable force chains, pushing the individuals from various directions.
Eventually these pushes reach a level that can cause one or more individual to stumble and fall.
Such a fall, creates a HOLE in the crowd.
This breaks the balance of forces among surrounding people.
People are still being pushed from behind but no longer from the front.
Consequently falling people will be piled up.
Those on the ground suffer from the weight of other individuals and have difficulty breathing.
People die because of unavailability of oxygen.
